Crypto Exchange Fee Rebate Comparison 2026: 20–70% via Fee Otter

Exchange fee rebates compared: 20–70% via Fee Otter (Gate, WEEX, XT.COM and Ourbit at 70%). List fees, automatic rebates and which fits how you trade.

Mainstream exchanges charge almost the same futures taker fee (0.05% to 0.06%), so the rebate is what really sets your cost. Through Fee Otter, Gate, WEEX, XT.COM and Ourbit pay 70% on futures, MEXC and KuCoin 60%, Bitget, HTX and Pionex 50%, BingX 45%, Binance and Bybit 40%, and OKX gives a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards (checked October 2026).

The five mainstream venues (Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and Gate) charge almost the same fees: every futures taker rate sits between 0.05% and 0.06%. What actually separates them over a year is the rebate: on identical trades, one trader gets 20% back and another gets seventy per cent. Most referral codes you will find pay 20% (some 25%); through Fee Otter, Gate and three others pay 70%, 3.5x a common 20% code: on 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a common code returns 200 and we return 700. If you're already a VIP at an exchange and want to rebind or sign up at another one, contact support: we can help you apply for special trading perks or a higher rebate rate. This guide covers the five mainstream venues' list-fee schedules, how the rebate is structured, all ten head-to-head match-ups, and how to pick based on how you actually trade.

The short version

  • Fees barely differ, too little to be your main reason for picking an exchange. Futures taker: Binance / OKX / Gate 0.05%, Bybit 0.055%, Bitget 0.06%.
  • Rebates differ a lot. Combined rebate, thickest first: Gate = WEEX = XT.COM > MEXC = KuCoin > Bitget = HTX = Pionex > BingX > Binance = Bybit. OKX is a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards.
  • More than double a common referral code. Most codes you will find pay 20% (some 25%); through Fee Otter, Gate/WEEX/XT.COM/Ourbit at 70% is 3.5x, MEXC/KuCoin 60% is 3x, Bitget 50% is 2.5x, BingX 45% is 2.25x, Binance/Bybit 40% is 2x. On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a common 20% code returns 200; here you get 400–700.
  • The codes are not all the same: FEEOTTER on most exchanges, mexc-FEEOTTER on MEXC, otter123 on WEEX. The wrong code is the same as no code, and it cannot be changed after signup.

First, the fees: the five mainstream venues

A rebate is a percentage of the fee, so any long-run cost comparison starts with the base. Regular-user (VIP 0) list pricing:

ExchangeSpot makerSpot takerFutures makerFutures takerToken discount
Binance0.10%0.10%0.02%0.05%BNB, 25% off (spot)
OKX0.08%0.10%0.02%0.05%OKB gives no discount
Bybit0.10%0.10%0.02%0.055%None
Bitget0.10%0.10%0.02%0.06%BGB, 20% off (spot only)
Gate0.10%0.10%0.02%0.05%GT, about 10% off (0.09%)

Fees verified on 2026-10-18 (each exchange's official fee schedule). · Methodology

Three things worth noticing:

  • OKX has the lowest spot maker fee of the five mainstream venues (0.08%; looking beyond those five, MEXC and Ourbit are 0% and Pionex 0.05%). Pure spot traders who post limit orders are a fifth better off before any rebate.
  • Bitget has the highest futures taker fee of the five mainstream venues (0.06%), 3× its own maker rate, so working limit orders pays off more on Bitget than anywhere else here.
  • Maker is near-identical: 0.02% almost everywhere, 0.01% at MEXC and 0.04% at XT.COM (MEXC futures fees vary by symbol, and many pairs are fee-free). For a maker-heavy trader, "which is cheapest" is close to meaningless.

Then the rebate: structure matters more than the number

On most exchanges the rebate comes in two layers, from completely different places:

ExchangeLayer 1 (exchange auto-rebate)Layer 2 (Fee Otter extra rebate)Referral code
Binance20%20% (40% combined)FEEOTTER
OKX20%Exclusive rewards (ask support)FEEOTTER
BybitNone40% (single combined figure)FEEOTTER
Bitget20%30% (50% combined)FEEOTTER
Gate20%50% (the thickest Layer 2 here; 70% combined, tied with WEEX, XT.COM and Ourbit)FEEOTTER

That Layer 1 20% is not automatic just because you used a code. The referrer decides how much to pass on, and setting it to 0% is perfectly legitimate. Plenty of YouTuber and KOL codes are configured exactly that way: you still pay the full fee and the whole 20% becomes their commission. Sign up with our code and the exchange pays that 20% back to you automatically. Layer 2 is the rebate site passing part of its own commission back; most KOLs keep that layer too.

The exact rates come from the live table below, which updates whenever they change:

Head to head: all ten match-ups

If you have already narrowed it to two, read that row. "Fees" compares the futures taker rate; "Rebate" compares the combined rate through Fee Otter.

Binance vs BybitBinance slightly lowerEqual (both 40%)Near-tie. Decide on whether you want Bybit's Earn yield share

OKX vs BybitOKX slightly lowerBybit higherBybit pays more on futures; OKX is a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards
OKX vs BitgetOKX lower (0.05% vs 0.06%)Bitget higherBitget's rebate is thicker; OKX wins on spot maker and ecosystem
OKX vs GateTie (both 0.05%)Gate clearly higherGate, unless you specifically want OKX's Web3 stack

Bybit vs GateBybit higher (0.055% vs 0.05%)Gate clearly higherGate wins on both
Gate vs BitgetGate lower (0.05% vs 0.06%)Gate higherGate wins on both

A pattern falls out of that table: in half the match-ups the answer is simply "take the higher rebate", because the fee gap cannot make up the rebate gap. On 500 USDT of monthly fees, moving from a 0.06% taker to 0.05% saves roughly 80 USDT of fees, while every 10 percentage points of rebate is worth 50 USDT, and 30 points is worth 150. All ten match-ups sit inside a narrow 0.05%–0.06% band, so the fee spread there is at most 0.01 points while the rebate spread runs past 30. (Across all the exchanges covered here, taker fees actually run from MEXC's standard 0.04% to WEEX's 0.08%, a 0.04-point spread, so once you step outside that band the fee stops being a rounding error.)

More head-to-head comparisons

Beyond the ten above, we have six more head-to-heads covering MEXC, WEEX, XT.COM, HTX and Pionex. The one-line verdicts:

Trading tokenised US equities? All six list them, and net cost varies 2.7x

These six carry tokenised US equity perpetuals (SPY, NVDA, TSLA, MSTR, crude oil CL and more) and charge their ordinary futures schedule, so the fee table above applies directly. MEXC lists only SPY and gold (XAU) and XT.COM was not measured, so both are out of scope for this section. What actually separates them is the rebate.

On this article's basis (500,000 USDT of monthly notional, all taker) and the rebate percentages above, the real monthly outlay after rebate is: Gate 75 USDT, the lowest, then XT.COM 90, WEEX 120, Bitget and Binance both 150, Bybit 165, OKX 200. That is a 2.7x spread end to end. The counter-intuitive one is WEEX: its 0.08% taker fee is the most expensive of all the exchanges here, yet its rebate matches Gate's, so net it trails only Gate and XT.COM.

The Binance-versus-Bitget question works the same way: Bitget looks 20% dearer (0.06% vs 0.05%), but rebates more, so both land at 150 USDT net.

Listing counts, measured 24-hour turnover and funding rates (listing breadth is not liquidity) are in the tokenised US equity perpetual fee comparison.

So which one?

  • Purely want the most money back: Gate. The thickest Layer 2 here, with a combined 70% tied with WEEX, XT.COM and Ourbit, so the same fees return the largest absolute amount. Invite code: FEEOTTER.
  • Want the deepest liquidity and the widest product range: Binance. Not the highest rebate, but the largest volume by a distance, and on big orders slippage can cost more than the rebate difference.
  • Spot only, and you post limit orders: OKX. Its 0.08% spot maker is the lowest of the five mainstream venues (MEXC and Ourbit are 0%, Pionex 0.05%). OKX is a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards.
  • Have idle assets and want yield too: Bybit. Earn yield is shared as well, which no other exchange here does. Through Fee Otter it pays 40%.
  • Want a balance of rebate and fees: Bitget. Second only to Gate on rebate among the five mainstream venues; the price is the highest futures taker rate among those five (0.06%; WEEX charges 0.08%), most of which limit orders cancel out.
  • Futures only, and zero-fee spot too: Ourbit. Spot fees are 0%, the futures taker is 0.04%, and the futures rebate is 70%, tied with Gate, WEEX and XT.COM. The code, FEEOTTER, can only be entered at signup.
  • All of them? You can bind every one of them. Trade wherever suits each trade; the rebates all land in one dashboard.

How to bind and claim

Fee Otter rebate dashboard. Binding needs only the UID: no API key, no password, no withdrawal permission.

Existing users: at most exchanges a referral code can only be entered at signup and cannot be changed once bound; a few allow adding one within a window after signup (Binance 30 days, MEXC 30 days, Bybit 14 days, Pionex 14 days); past that window, claiming rebates means "rebinding". Each exchange works differently:

Full per-exchange guides (fees, worked examples, steps, FAQ): Binance fee rebate · OKX fee rebate · Bybit fee rebate · Bitget fee rebate · Gate fee rebate · WEEX fee rebate · MEXC fee rebate · XT.COM fee rebate.

FAQ

Which exchange has the highest rebate?

Gate (its 70% futures rate is tied with WEEX, XT.COM and Ourbit). Its affiliate share is itself higher than the others, and we pass the difference down, so the same fees return the largest absolute amount on Gate. Exact rates are in the rate table above.

Which exchange is cheapest?

Futures taker: MEXC and Ourbit 0.04% are the lowest (MEXC's most common rate; it varies by symbol), Binance / OKX / Gate / Pionex 0.05%, Bybit 0.055%, Bitget / XT.COM / HTX 0.06%, WEEX 0.08%; maker is 0.02% except MEXC 0.01% and XT.COM 0.04%. Spot maker: MEXC and Ourbit are 0%, Pionex 0.05%, OKX 0.08%, Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Gate and WEEX 0.10%, XT.COM and HTX 0.20%. The five mainstream venues sit within 0.01 percentage points of each other, so there the rebate decides; across all the exchanges here the gap reaches 0.04 points, so fees cannot be ignored.

What is the OKX rebate?

OKX is a 20% auto-rebate, refunded straight to your account; for our exclusive OKX rewards and promotions, click the OKX column for details and how to reach support.

Why does Bybit show a single combined rebate figure?

Bybit's rebate is settled in full by Fee Otter, so it is shown as one combined figure. Bybit pays 40%; once your UID is bound, your fees start earning rebate.

Can high-volume traders get a higher rate?

Yes. High-volume traders, exchange VIPs, trading desks and similar can contact support to arrange a higher rate case by case.

Is the referral code the same everywhere?

Not quite. Most exchanges use FEEOTTER; MEXC uses mexc-FEEOTTER and WEEX otter123. Each dedicated link fills in the right one for you. The wrong code is the same as no code, and it cannot be changed after signup.

Can I bind every exchange?

Yes, and it is worth doing. Trade wherever suits, watch the rebates in one place.

Isn't the cheapest exchange cheaper in the long run?

Usually not. On 500 USDT of monthly fees, dropping from a 0.06% taker to 0.05% saves about 80 USDT, while 10 percentage points of rebate is worth 50 USDT and 30 points is worth 150. Among the five mainstream venues (Binance/OKX/Gate 0.05%, Bybit 0.055%, Bitget 0.06%) the fee spread is at most 0.01 points while the rebate spread exceeds 30. MEXC (0.04% standard) and WEEX (0.08%) sit outside that band, so weigh fees as well as rebate against those two.

I already have an account. Can I still get rebates?

Yes. Some exchanges let you add the code within a window after signup (Binance 30 days, MEXC 30 days, Bybit 14 days, Pionex 14 days); elsewhere, or once that window has passed, go through rebinding. Conditions and steps differ by exchange; see the guides above.

Does a rebate change my execution price?

No. The money comes from the commission the exchange pays referral channels, not out of your fill. The rate on the order ticket does not change because you bound a rebate site; the saving arrives afterwards.
