An exchange's automatic rebate usually lands within a few hours to a day of the trade: Binance converts it to USDC hourly and credits the Spot Account within 6 hours; Bitget credits the Spot Account from 10:00 (UTC+8) the next day; MEXC settles T+1 and generally pays between 8:00 and 10:30 (UTC+8) (official help pages, checked 2026-10-22). Fee Otter's extra rebate is settled after the daily 16:00 (UTC+8) data update and paid on request as USDT on BEP20, with a 1 USDT minimum per request and a 0.015 USDT network fee borne by you.
If you still see nothing after those times, it is usually one of the 7 causes below. Work through the checklist in this article; if you still can't find the cause, contact support with your UID and screenshots.
First: which part of the rebate are you waiting for?
A rebate through Fee Otter usually comes in two parts, paid by different parties and landing in different places:
- The exchange's automatic rebate: the exchange refunds it straight to your exchange account through the referral relationship, for example Binance's 20%, BingX's 45% or KuCoin's 60%. This part never appears in your Fee Otter withdrawable balance.
- Fee Otter's extra rebate: once the exchange issues its commission report, Fee Otter imports and matches it line by line and adds it to the withdrawable balance on the rebate dashboard after the 16:00 (UTC+8) daily update.
Two exceptions to remember: BingX's 45% is paid entirely and automatically by BingX, with no UID binding; Bybit has no automatic exchange layer, and its 40% is paid entirely by Fee Otter. Who pays each part is explained in automatic vs extra rebate explained.
When each exchange's automatic rebate lands (checked 2026-10-22)
| Exchange | Official settlement / payout time | Where it lands, in what asset | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | Converted hourly, credited within 6 hours | Spot Account, USDC | Referral Pro FAQ |
| OKX | Commission normally paid 1 to 2 hours after the trade, possibly several hours late in extreme markets; no separate time given for the invitee rebate | Not stated on the official page | Affiliate FAQ (updated 2026-09-15) |
| Bybit | No automatic exchange layer | The full 40% is on Fee Otter | Fee Otter rebate rate data |
| Bitget | Settled daily on the previous day's trades, credited from 10:00 (UTC+8) the next day | Spot Account; assets other than BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC are converted to USDT | Affiliates FAQ |
| Gate | No fixed payout time stated; data updates may lag by about an hour | Not stated on the official page | Referral FAQ |
| MEXC | T+1, generally paid daily between 8:00 and 10:30 (UTC+8), with slight delays possible when calculation volume is high | Not stated on the official page | Affiliate FAQ |
| BingX | Partner commission: the previous day's commission is credited at 03:00 (UTC+8) the next day; no separate time given for the invitee rebate | Fund Account; USDT for USDⓈ-M futures and spot | Partner commission FAQ |
| KuCoin | Affiliate commission transferred automatically on T+1; no separate time given for the invitee rebate | Master account | Affiliate program announcement (2025-09-11) |
| HTX, Pionex, WEEX, XT.COM, Ourbit, CoinW | We found no official payout time this time | Go by your exchange account records | Each exchange's referral page |
Checked 2026-10-22. The OKX, BingX and KuCoin pages give the payout time for the referrer's (affiliate's) commission; they say nothing separate about the invitee's share, so treat those times as a guide only. Rules can change at any time; the official pages prevail.
Fee Otter can only import the extra rebate once the exchange has issued the previous day's commission report, so today's trades usually show their extra rebate after the 16:00 (UTC+8) update the next day. The update schedule and settlement are covered in how fee rebates are settled.
7 common reasons a rebate hasn't arrived
1. No code at sign-up, the wrong code, or the wrong UID bound
Rebates follow the referral relationship. If you skipped the referral code field or used someone else's code, the exchange's automatic rebate isn't yours; if the UID bound on Fee Otter differs from the account you trade on, the extra rebate can't be matched. A few exchanges allow adding a code late, and after that window the only route is a rebind; see the late-entry and rebind rules by exchange. To find your UID, see what an exchange UID is.
2. Trading on a sub-account
Binance and BingX state that sub-account commission goes to the master account's referrer, so binding the master account is enough. OKX states that trades in managed-trading sub-accounts are not eligible for rebates. Gate, Bitget, MEXC and KuCoin say nothing about ordinary sub-accounts, so place a small order on the sub-account and check the next day's records. The full rundown is in do sub-account fees earn a rebate.
3. Placing API orders on MEXC
Section 1.5 of the MEXC affiliate FAQ says: "All trades made by users via API will no longer count toward commission." MEXC API orders earn neither the exchange's automatic rebate nor Fee Otter's extra rebate, whichever referral code you used. Details are in MEXC API trading setup.
4. A VIP level that is too high
Exchanges cap referral commission by level, and when the referrer's share is zero, yours is too:
- Binance: spot and margin commission applies only up to VIP 2 and stops once the invitee reaches VIP 3; futures likewise covers only regular and VIP 1-2 users.
- Gate: trades by users at VIP 11 or above generate no commission.
- KuCoin: the affiliate announcement excludes zero-fee trades and higher-level invitees, but its introduction says Level 3 or above while its terms say LV4 or above; the two don't match, and KuCoin's interpretation prevails.
For how Binance levels work, see Binance VIP fee tiers; for KuCoin, see KuCoin VIP fee tiers.
5. Settlement time hasn't come yet
Check the table above: Bitget credits at 10:00 (UTC+8) the next day, MEXC the next morning, and Fee Otter's extra rebate after the 16:00 (UTC+8) update the next day. If yesterday's rebate isn't there this morning, it is most likely just not due yet. If nothing has shown up after two days, keep going down this list.
6. The trade type generates no commission
- Zero-fee pairs: Bitget states zero-fee pairs generate no rebates; MEXC states commission is based on fees actually paid, not on volume.
- Fees covered by coupons or trial funds: MEXC states the part of fees offset by bonuses generates no commission; Bybit's commission base also deducts bonuses and coupons. Bitget states that when users pay with fee vouchers, the rebate is issued as vouchers.
- Specific products: Pionex's rules state that stock token spot and MEME do not support commission.
- Funding and liquidation: rebates apply to trading fees only, and funding is not a trading fee, so it earns no rebate.
- Other Bybit programs: users who take part in another Bybit rebate, discount or incentive program may not count toward affiliate commission.
7. Below the withdrawal minimum, or the address is still cooling down
If you can see Fee Otter's extra rebate but can't withdraw it, this is usually why: the minimum per request is 1 USDT; your first BEP20 address works right away, but any address added later has a 24-hour cooling period; and only one withdrawal can be in progress at a time. Every payout can be checked on BscScan.
Worked example: when a Bitget trade's rebate arrives
Say you pay 500 USDT of futures fees on Bitget on Monday (UTC+8), and your rebate through Fee Otter is 50% (20% automatic exchange rebate + 30% extra rebate):
- The exchange's part: 500 × 20% = 100 USDT, credited to your Bitget Spot Account from 10:00 (UTC+8) on Tuesday.
- Fee Otter's part: 500 × 30% = 150 USDT, shown on the rebate dashboard after the 16:00 (UTC+8) update on Tuesday.
- Withdrawal: request 150 USDT, and after the 0.015 USDT network fee, 149.985 USDT arrives on-chain.
If you look at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and see neither part yet, that is normal.
One trader pays 500 USDT of MEXC fees in a month: 300 USDT from API bot orders and 200 USDT from manual orders. Only the manual 200 USDT earns a rebate: 60% (20% automatic exchange rebate + 40% extra rebate), 120 USDT in total; the API 300 USDT earns 0.
Checklist before you contact support
Check the referral relationship
on the exchange's referral or profile page, confirm your account is linked to our referral code.Check the UID
the UID bound on Fee Otter must be the account you actually trade on (for sub-accounts, see point 2 above). BingX needs no binding, so skip this step there.Check the trade type
not a MEXC API order, not a zero-fee pair, and the fee wasn't covered by a coupon or trial funds.Check your VIP level
below VIP 3 on Binance and below VIP 11 on Gate.Wait past settlement
the exchange's part per the table above; Fee Otter's part after the 16:00 (UTC+8) update the next day.Check the withdrawal conditions
at least 1 USDT withdrawable, the address past its 24-hour cooling period, and no other withdrawal in progress.
If all six check out and the rebate still hasn't appeared, contact support. Have these ready in one go:
- The exchange and your UID.
- The trade date and time (UTC+8), plus the order ID if you have it.
- A screenshot of the exchange's trade history or fee record.
- A screenshot of your Fee Otter rebate dashboard showing the date and amount.
With everything in one message, support can check the exchange report directly without asking you for more.
