Fee Otter's MEXC referral code is mexc-FEEOTTER, prefix included. Registering with it gets you a 20% rebate paid by the exchange plus 40% paid by Fee Otter, a 60% total futures rebate and three times a common 20% code (checked October 2026). Full rates and evidence: referral codes and rebate rates for every exchange we support.
The MEXC referral code, mexc-FEEOTTER, is built into the dedicated link. It carries a mexc- prefix, and FEEOTTER, the code we use on exchanges such as OKX, Bybit and Bitget, is not valid on MEXC without it.
Registering with it earns a fee rebate of 60%: 20% returned automatically by MEXC plus 40% more from Fee Otter, with no volume requirement. Most referral codes out there pay 20% (some 25%); with your UID bound on Fee Otter, ours pays 60%, 3 times a typical code. On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT; ours returns 600 USDT.
This page covers the code itself. Rates and worked examples are in the MEXC fee rebate guide; for the full account-opening walkthrough, see the MEXC registration guide.
What is the MEXC referral code?
The MEXC referral code is mexc-FEEOTTER. The button below uses a dedicated link that already carries the full code, prefix included, so the referral field is filled in for you.
Referral code, invite code, referral ID: the same thing?
Yes. Some people say "referral code", others "invite code", and some interfaces say Referral ID; all of them mean the one field you fill in at signup. On MEXC's signup page the field is labelled as the referral (invitation) code. Whatever it is called, on MEXC the field needs the full code, prefix included.
Two other things get mixed up with it. A "referral link" is the same code built into a URL: signing up through it fills the code in automatically, with exactly the same effect as typing it. Your UID is your own account number, not a code; after signup it is the UID you bind on the rebate site; see what an exchange UID is and where to find it.
Where do you enter the code?
The MEXC signup page has a "Referral code" field. Entering through the link above fills it automatically, with nothing to type, which is also the surest way to get it right.
App and web: step by step
MEXC's app and website look slightly different, but the order is the same. Six steps get you registered and earning rebates:
- Open the dedicated signup link on this page; to register manually, go to the signup page in MEXC's official app or website.
- Enter an email address or phone number you use, and set a strong password.
- Find the referral code field and check it is already filled in with the full code, prefix included; the dedicated link does this for you.
- Complete verification and submit, then turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) straight away.
- Find your UID: in the app, tap the avatar at the top left to open your profile; on the web, click the user icon at the top right. The UID is a string of digits.
- On the Fee Otter rebate site, choose MEXC, paste the UID and submit. Only the UID is needed, no API key or password.
Step 3 is the only step that cannot be changed once submitted. For KYC, deposits and the full illustrated walkthrough, see the MEXC registration guide.
How do I check the code was applied?
If the code did not stick, you get no rebate. Check it this way:
- At sign-up: before you submit, look at the referral code field and make sure it says mexc-FEEOTTER, including the mexc- prefix. Signing up through our link fills it in for you.
- Bind your UID on Fee Otter: enter your MEXC UID on the Fee Otter rebate site. After you submit it, we check MEXC's referral list, the first time within about 5 minutes. If you are under our code, the status changes to "Verified" and we email you. If it still says "Pending review" after 5 hours, your UID is not on the list: check that you signed up with mexc-FEEOTTER, or contact support.
If you trade large volumes and want to confirm before your first trade, contact support and we will check it by hand. If the code did not stick, see the MEXC rebinding guide for your options.
How much does it earn?
A 60% futures rebate: 20% returned automatically by MEXC plus 40% extra from Fee Otter.
How much more does our code pay than a typical 20% or 25% code?
The table shows the combined rebate when you bind through Fee Otter (20% returned automatically by MEXC plus 40% extra from Fee Otter), against the 20% and 25% codes commonly found online:
| Code | Rebate via Fee Otter | vs a typical 20% code | vs a 25% code |
| mexc-FEEOTTER | 60% | 3× | 2.4× |
On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT and a 25% code 250 USDT; ours returns 600 USDT. Over a year, that is 4,800 USDT more than a 20% code. If you're already a VIP on an exchange and want to rebind or sign up on another one, contact support: we can help you apply for special trading perks or a higher rebate rate.
The rebate is calculated on the fees you actually pay, at the rates on MEXC's official fee page (verified 2026-10-18). Zero-fee pairs charge no fee, so they generate no rebate either.
Common mistakes
- Dropping the prefix. This trap is specific to MEXC: our code on most other exchanges is plain FEEOTTER with no prefix, so typing from memory drops the mexc- prefix, and a wrong code is the same as no code.
- Clicking another referral link mid-signup. The later one overwrites the first. Pick your code and go through that one link end to end.
- Assuming it can be added later. A MEXC main account can add a referrer by self-service only within 30 days of signup and only if none is bound yet; once bound it cannot be changed (see MEXC's self-service referrer linking guide). After 30 days, rebinding is the only route.
What is this code actually worth?
Using MEXC's standard futures rates (taker 0.04%, maker 0.01%) at 70% taker fills, the blended rate is 0.031%:
| Monthly volume | Monthly fee | At 20% (auto only) | At 60% (bound to Fee Otter) | Yearly gap |
| 100,000 USDT | 31 USDT | 6.2 | 18.6 | ~149 |
| 500,000 USDT | 155 USDT | 31 | 93 | ~744 |
| 2,000,000 USDT | 620 USDT | 124 | 372 | ~2,976 |
MEXC has a low fee base (0.04% futures taker, the same as Ourbit), so the same percentage gap converts into less money than elsewhere, but the rate you actually pay is low too. The effective rate calculator converts it to your own numbers.
Does the code expire?
No. A MEXC referral relationship is written at account creation and is effectively permanent. It is not a campaign code and has no expiry or quota. What changes is the percentage, not the code. And because a binding is nearly impossible to change, binding to the wrong party is hard to undo.
Specific to MEXC: low list fees
MEXC's list rates are, with Ourbit's, on the low side: futures maker 0.01%, taker 0.04%; spot maker 0%, taker 0.05% (BTC and ETH; most smaller spot pairs 0.08%). The five major exchanges charge 0.05% to 0.06% futures taker and 0.10% spot taker. These are standard rates; promotional pairs such as BTC and ETH are currently cheaper, and some contracts are zero-fee (see MEXC's official fee page).
This produces a counter-intuitive result: MEXC's 60% rebate is below the 70% on Gate and WEEX, but because the fee base is smaller, the post-rebate effective rate is almost the same as Gate's. Full comparison in the MEXC fee rebate guide.
Already registered without a code?
Within 30 days of signup, a MEXC main account with no referrer yet can add mexc-FEEOTTER through official self-service linking; after 30 days it cannot be added, but one MEXC KYC can register up to 2 accounts: sign up again with a new email via the dedicated link, confirm the referral field shows mexc-FEEOTTER, then bind the new account's UID on the rebate platform. If both accounts are already used, close one and wait for the closure to finish (up to 15 working days). Steps in the MEXC rebind guide.
Why do different sources offer different rebates?
1. Direct partnership versus a resold sub-affiliate
We hold direct, long-term agreements with each exchange. Many codes online belong to individuals operating as sub-affiliates, and affiliate status is reviewed. If that person fails review or is downgraded, the rate their users receive is affected directly. You are bound to them, not to the exchange.
2. Whether they are still around
A common pattern: an individual code promises manual top-ups, pays for a few months, then stops answering, and a binding is almost impossible to change, so you stay locked in while still paying fees.
3. How much they give back
We pass most of the share to users and rely on the relationship lasting. Actual percentages are in the rate table above and shown live on the rebate platform (Fee Otter).
How MEXC compares
Register or rebind
No MEXC account yet? Register through the dedicated link on this page, check the referral field shows mexc-FEEOTTER, then bind your UID on the rebate site. 60% is 3 times a typical 20% code. Already have an account? Within 30 days of signup, add the code through MEXC's self-service linking; after 30 days, follow the MEXC rebind guide to switch with a new account. To see what it returns per month first, read the MEXC fee rebate guide.
FAQ
Why does the MEXC code have the mexc- prefix?
The prefix is part of our MEXC partner code, mexc-FEEOTTER. Without it the code does not register.
How much does the MEXC code earn?
60%: 20% automatic from MEXC plus 40% more from the rebate platform. That is 3 times a typical 20% code, and 2.4 times a 25% one.
Does using a code cost more in fees?
No. You pay MEXC's published rates either way; the code only determines how much comes back. People who skip it pay the same and get nothing.
MEXC's rebate is lower. Is binding still worth it?
The percentage is lower because the fees are lower to begin with. The post-rebate effective rate works out almost identical to Gate's. The effective rate calculator takes your own rates for an exact answer.
When does the rebate arrive?
MEXC charges first and refunds later. Once your UID is bound, rebates are recorded on the rebate platform (Fee Otter), viewable, with withdrawals on request.
Can the MEXC referral code be changed after it is bound?
No. According to MEXC's affiliate FAQ, once a code is linked it cannot be changed or removed. So check the referral field is already filled in before submitting; if someone else's code is already bound, the only route is rebinding with a new account; see the MEXC rebind guide.
Can I still add our code more than 30 days after signup?
Not by self-service. MEXC's self-service linking is only open to main accounts within 30 days of signup that have no referrer yet. After 30 days you can open a second account with the same KYC (MEXC allows up to 2 accounts per KYC), register through the dedicated link and bind the new account's UID.
For every exchange's code and what distinguishes each one, see the crypto exchange referral code list. Whether each exchange lets you add a code after signup, and how to rebind, is covered in the referral code late-entry and rebind rules by exchange.
