Fee Otter's KuCoin referral code is FEEOTTER, already built into the dedicated link. Sign up with it and KuCoin automatically returns 60% of your trading fees on spot and futures alike; KuCoin pays all of it and Fee Otter adds no extra rebate. That is three times the 20% most referral codes pass on (checked October 2026).
What is the KuCoin referral code?
The code is FEEOTTER. The dedicated link below opens KuCoin's sign-up page with it already filled in. If you sign up manually, type it into the Referral Code field.
Where do you enter the code?
- Open the KuCoin sign-up page through the dedicated link.
- Choose email or phone sign-up and enter it.
- Check that the referral code field shows FEEOTTER; if it's empty, type it in.
- Accept the Terms of Use, enter the verification code you receive, and set a login password.
KuCoin's sign-up help page says the referrer's code should appear while you set your password. If it didn't fill in from the invite link, the link may have expired and you should enter the code yourself. The code can only be entered at sign-up, so check it before you submit.
How do I check the code was applied?
If the code did not stick, you get no rebate. Check it this way:
- At sign-up: the referrer's code should be visible at the password step. If it was not filled in, enter FEEOTTER yourself.
- Bind your UID on Fee Otter: enter your KuCoin UID on the Fee Otter rebate site. After you submit it, we check KuCoin's referral list, the first time within about 5 minutes. If you are under our code, the status changes to "Verified" and we email you. If it still says "Pending review" after 5 hours, your UID is not on the list: check that you signed up with FEEOTTER, or contact support.
KuCoin pays the whole rebate automatically, so binding your UID does not add anything, but it does confirm that you are under our code.
If you trade large volumes and want to confirm before your first trade, contact support and we will check it by hand. If the code did not stick, see the KuCoin rebinding guide for your options.
How much does the code earn?
KuCoin has a single rebate layer, and the exchange pays it:
| Layer | Paid by | Rate | Condition |
| Automatic rebate | KuCoin | 60% (spot and futures) | Sign up with our code |
| Extra rebate | Rebate platform (Fee Otter) | 0% | KuCoin has no extra layer |
KuCoin settles the 60% itself, without going through Fee Otter, and binding your UID doesn't add anything.
On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT; ours returns 600 USDT at 60%.
If you are already a VIP on an exchange and want to rebind or sign up on another exchange, contact support. We can help you apply for special trading benefits or a higher rebate rate.
Worked example: how much more in a year?
Using KuCoin's regular USDT-margined perpetual rates (maker 0.02%, taker 0.06%) and a 70% taker / 30% maker mix, the blended rate is 0.7 × 0.06% + 0.3 × 0.02% = 0.048%:
| Monthly futures volume | Monthly fees | Typical 20% code, back per month | Our code at 60%, back per month | Extra per year |
| 100,000 USDT | 48 USDT | 9.6 USDT | 28.8 USDT | 230.4 USDT |
| 500,000 USDT | 240 USDT | 48 USDT | 144 USDT | 1,152 USDT |
| 2,000,000 USDT | 960 USDT | 192 USDT | 576 USDT | 4,608 USDT |
Rate source: KuCoin's official futures API (XBTUSDTM makerFeeRate 0.0002, takerFeeRate 0.0006), checked 2026-10-13. Formula: extra per year = monthly fees × (60% − 20%) × 12.
A high list fee, but cheaper than Binance and Bybit after the rebate
KuCoin's futures taker fee of 0.06% is higher than Binance's and BingX's 0.05% and Bybit's 0.055%. But the 60% comes back automatically, and after it:
| Exchange | Futures taker | Rebate through Fee Otter | You pay after rebate |
| KuCoin | 0.06% | 60% | 0.024% |
| BingX | 0.05% | 45% | 0.0275% |
| Binance | 0.05% | 40% | 0.03% |
| Bybit | 0.055% | 40% | 0.033% |
Each exchange's rate is the regular public rate from our rebate guides. On list price KuCoin looks expensive; after the rebate it is cheaper than all three. Ourbit, Gate and MEXC go lower still; see the comparison table in the KuCoin fee rebate guide.
At high leverage, how much margin do fees eat?
Open 50× on 1,000 USDT of margin, a 50,000 USDT position, with market orders in and out:
- Fees: 50,000 × 0.06% × 2 = 60 USDT, 6% of your margin.
- Typical 20% code: you pay 48 USDT, 4.8% of margin.
- Our code at 60%: you pay 24 USDT, 2.4% of margin.
KuCoin futures go up to 125×. The higher you go, the bigger the share of margin that fees take, and the wider the rebate gap.
KuCoin trading fees
| Type | Maker | Taker |
| Spot class A (BTC, ETH and most major coins) | 0.1% | 0.1% |
| Spot class B | 0.2% | 0.2% |
| Spot class C | 0.3% | 0.3% |
| USDT-margined perpetual futures | 0.02% | 0.06% |
These are VIP0 rates. Source: KuCoin's official fee page, which we checked pair by pair against KuCoin's public API on 5 October 2026 (data sources and methods). Turning on "Pay Fees with KCS" takes another 20% off spot and margin fees, but not futures (KuCoin's help page). That discount is separate from the rebate.
Common mistakes
- Carrying on when the code isn't shown at the password step: KuCoin's official sign-up guide says this means the link may have expired, so enter FEEOTTER yourself.
- Clicking another referral link midway: if you open another link with a code before sign-up finishes, the later one overwrites ours.
- Assuming you can switch later: on KuCoin one person can verify only one account, so once it is verified there is almost no room to change codes. The code you sign up with first largely decides your rebate from then on.
What kind of exchange is KuCoin?
KuCoin was founded in 2017 and is incorporated in the Seychelles. In October 2026 CoinGecko listed it with 831 coins, 983 trading pairs and a trust score of 9/10. Verified users can trade futures with up to 125x leverage.
KuCoin publishes proof of reserves every month; the latest ratios and how to verify them are in KuCoin proof of reserves, and deposit and withdrawal fees by network are in KuCoin deposits and withdrawals.
Can you add the code after signing up?
No. KuCoin's sign-up guide says that once an account is registered the invitation code is no longer valid, and KuCoin can't add one manually. Since 31 August 2023 every new user must also complete identity verification, and one person can verify only one account (KuCoin identity verification guide). If you have already verified a KuCoin account in your own name, opening a new one won't move you to our code. The KuCoin rebind guide covers each case.
What does binding your UID do?
KuCoin pays the 60% directly, so you get it whether or not you bind. If you bind your KuCoin UID on the Fee Otter profile page, we check it against KuCoin's referral list and confirm automatically that your account sits under our code, usually within 5 minutes. Binding needs only the UID, never an API key or password.
Risks to know before using KuCoin
Before you deposit, know these points:
- US enforcement record: in January 2025 KuCoin pleaded guilty in the US to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, agreed to pay more than $297 million, and agreed to leave the US market for at least two years (US Department of Justice). US users are not served.
- Don't keep long-term or large balances on the exchange: keep only the funds you are actively trading on KuCoin; withdraw money you aren't trading and anything you hold long term.
- Use a cold wallet for long-term holdings: move large, long-term assets to a hardware cold wallet (such as a Ledger) and keep them offline.
- Futures and high leverage are high risk: KuCoin offers up to 125x on futures. Beginners should avoid high leverage and learn the rules with small amounts first.

How much is the KuCoin rebate?
60%, returned by KuCoin straight to your account, the same for spot and futures. Fee Otter adds no extra rebate.
