For futures taker orders, BingX comes out slightly cheaper than Binance. Both list the same futures fees (maker 0.02%, taker 0.05%). With Fee Otter's code FEEOTTER, BingX pays back 45% (all of it automatically, by BingX), so a taker order nets 0.0275%. Binance pays back 40% (20% automatic rebate from the exchange + 20% extra rebate), so it nets 0.03%. If you pay Binance fees in BNB, the futures taker cost drops to 0.027% and the two are practically tied (checked 2026-10-22).
Quick answer
- Listed fees: identical on futures (0.02% / 0.05%) and on spot (0.10% / 0.10%). The difference comes from the rebate and Binance's BNB discount.
- Rebate: BingX 45%, all paid automatically by BingX, with no UID binding at Fee Otter. Binance 40% (20% automatic rebate + 20% extra rebate); you bind your UID at Fee Otter to receive the extra 20%.
- Futures taker after rebate: BingX 0.0275%; Binance 0.03%, or 0.027% with BNB.
- Spot after rebate: BingX 0.055%; Binance 0.06%, or 0.045% with BNB.
- 500,000 USDT of futures volume a month, all taker: you pay 137.5 USDT net on BingX and 150 USDT on Binance (135 USDT with BNB).
- Existing accounts: Binance lets you add a code within 30 days of sign-up if you haven't deposited or traded. BingX lets you add one if you haven't deposited or invited anyone. Once a referrer is set, neither lets you change it.
Listed fees: nearly identical, but Binance has BNB
These are the standard rates for regular users. A rebate is a percentage of the fee, so this table is the base for every calculation below.
| Item | Binance | BingX |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker / taker | 0.10% / 0.10% | 0.10% / 0.10% |
| Spot, fees paid in BNB | 0.075% / 0.075% (25% off) | No platform-token discount |
| USDⓈ-M perpetual maker / taker | 0.02% / 0.05% | 0.02% / 0.05% |
| Futures, fees paid in BNB | 10% off (0.018% / 0.045%) | No platform-token discount |
| BingX standard futures | No such product | 0.045% charged only on close (0.0375% for copy trading) |

- The BNB discount has a condition. Binance says the BNB has to sit in your USDⓈ-M futures account. If the balance runs short, the fee is taken in USDT with no discount.
- BingX standard futures charge differently. BingX says standard futures fees apply only when you close: 0.045% for your own trades and 0.0375% for copy trading. Perpetuals charge on both open and close. The full comparison is in BingX standard vs perpetual futures.
- VIP tiers go lower. This article uses regular-user rates. See Binance VIP fee tiers and BingX VIP fee tiers.
How the rebate is built: one 45% layer on BingX, two layers adding up to 40% on Binance
| Item | Binance | BingX |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic rebate from the exchange | 20%, refunded by Binance to your account | 45%, refunded by BingX to your account |
| Fee Otter extra rebate | 20% | None |
| Total | 40% | 45% |
| Bind UID at Fee Otter? | Yes, so the extra 20% is credited to you | No, signing up with the code is enough |
| How the extra rebate is paid | Settled daily after the 16:00 (UTC+8) data refresh; paid on request in USDT on BEP20, minimum 1 USDT, 0.015 USDT network fee | Not applicable |
BingX refunds the full 45% itself. Enter FEEOTTER when you sign up and there is nothing else to set up. After you enter the code on BingX's sign-up page, a rebate notice appears under the field. If you don't see it, the code didn't go through; details are in BingX referral code.
Binance's 20% automatic layer is the share an affiliate passes on. The Binance Affiliate Program guide says affiliates can give referees up to a 20% rebate on spot and margin fees (checked 2026-10-22). With our code, that 20% goes to you, and Fee Otter pays the other 20%.
Futures after rebate: a gap of thousandths, and BNB flips it
There's one formula: net rate = fee rate actually paid × (1 − rebate share). The rebate is a share of the fee you actually pay, so on Binance with BNB it's calculated on the discounted fee.
| Setup | Rebate | Futures taker net | Futures maker net |
|---|---|---|---|
| BingX | 45% | 0.05% × 0.55 = 0.0275% | 0.02% × 0.55 = 0.011% |
| Binance | 40% | 0.05% × 0.60 = 0.03% | 0.02% × 0.60 = 0.012% |
| Binance + BNB (10% off) | 40% | 0.045% × 0.60 = 0.027% | 0.018% × 0.60 = 0.0108% |
Without BNB, a BingX futures taker order costs 0.0025 percentage points less than on Binance. With BNB, Binance is 0.0005 points cheaper. That gap is small enough to ignore. Whether you want to hold BNB, and which products you'll use, matter more.
One trade, worked out: a 10,000 USDT futures position, opened and closed with taker orders. On BingX the fee is 10 USDT, 4.5 USDT comes back, and you pay 5.5 USDT. On Binance the fee is 10 USDT, 4 USDT comes back (2 USDT from the exchange + 2 USDT from Fee Otter), and you pay 6 USDT. On Binance paying in BNB, the fee is 9 USDT, 3.6 USDT comes back, and you pay 5.4 USDT.
Monthly cost: 500,000 USDT futures plus 100,000 USDT spot
Assume 500,000 USDT of futures volume a month, all taker, plus 100,000 USDT of spot (maker and taker are the same on spot at both, so the split doesn't matter):
| Item | BingX (45%) | Binance (40%) | Binance + BNB (40%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Futures fees | 250 USDT | 250 USDT | 225 USDT |
| Futures rebate | 112.5 USDT | 100 USDT | 90 USDT |
| Futures net | 137.5 USDT | 150 USDT | 135 USDT |
| Spot fees | 100 USDT | 100 USDT | 75 USDT |
| Spot net | 55 USDT | 60 USDT | 45 USDT |
| Total net per month | 192.5 USDT | 210 USDT | 180 USDT |
Net = fees × (1 − rebate share). For example, BingX futures: 250 × (1 − 45%) = 137.5 USDT. Binance spot with BNB: 100,000 × 0.075% = 75 USDT, and 75 × (1 − 40%) = 45 USDT.
If you don't want to hold BNB, BingX costs 17.5 USDT less a month, or 210 USDT a year. If you're happy paying fees in BNB, Binance costs 12.5 USDT less a month. BNB's price moves, and keeping a BNB balance just for the discount means carrying that risk yourself. How the BNB discount and the rebate stack is covered in Binance fee calculator: BNB discount plus rebate.
Product differences beyond fees
- BingX: known for copy trading and standard futures. Standard futures charge only on close, at 0.0375% for copy trading. Neither BingX's pages nor our rate table say whether the 45% covers standard futures, so if you use them, check the rebate records in your BingX account.
- Binance: BNB fee discounts, a VIP fee schedule, and BNB-linked campaigns and earn products; see Binance Earn guide.
- Where the rebate lands: BingX's 45% goes to your BingX account. Binance's 20% goes to your Binance account, and the other 20% shows up line by line in your Fee Otter dashboard, ready to withdraw.
- The rebate covers trading fees only. Funding and liquidation are excluded.
Already have an account: adding a code or switching
On both exchanges, a referral relationship can't be changed once it's set. What differs is when you can still add one:
- Binance: per the official FAQ, a parent account registered within the last 30 days, with no deposits, no trades, no existing referral and KYC not used on another account in the past 180 days, can add a referral (checked 2026-10-22). Older accounts: see Binance rebind guide.
- BingX: per the official registration FAQ, an account that hasn't deposited (including transfers from other platforms and Buy Crypto) and hasn't invited friends can add a code under "My Referrer". Once bound, the referrer can't be changed or removed (checked 2026-10-22). If you're already under someone else's code, an identity transfer to a new account is the way; see BingX identity transfer.
Where they operate
BingX's disclaimer (updated 2023-12-11, checked 2026-10-22) lists jurisdictions it doesn't serve, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China, "including but not limited to", and says the list may change. Binance's prohibited-countries list includes the United States, Canada and the Netherlands; see Binance KYC verification. Check that your country of residence isn't on either list before you open an account.
Risks
A rebate lowers your fees; your trading losses stay the same. Futures use leverage and you can lose your whole margin; funding rates are set by the market and aren't covered by the rebate. Exchange accounts carry platform risk, so move assets you aren't using to your own wallet. Rebate shares are set under the agreements between each exchange and Fee Otter and may change; the platform's live figures apply.
Which one fits you
- Mostly futures taker orders, no interest in holding BNB → BingX. 0.0275% net against 0.03%.
- Happy to pay fees in BNB → futures are a tie (0.027% vs 0.0275%); spot is cheaper on Binance (0.045% vs 0.055%).
- You'd rather skip the UID binding → BingX. Sign up with the code and BingX refunds the 45% automatically.
- Copy trading or trying standard futures → BingX; check your rebate records to see what's covered.
- Already in the BNB ecosystem or on a VIP tier → Binance. VIP discounts and the rebate stack.
- Want both → sign up at both with FEEOTTER; each rebate is counted separately.
Ready? New users can follow BingX referral code or Binance referral code. The code is FEEOTTER at both. On Binance, bind your UID at Fee Otter after signing up; on BingX you don't need to.
