The highest automatic rebates are 60% on KuCoin, WEEX, XT.COM and CoinW futures, followed by Ourbit at 50%, BingX at 45% and HTX at 30%. Binance, OKX, Gate, MEXC and Bitget pay 20%, Pionex 15%, and Bybit has no automatic rebate. The exchange pays the automatic rebate straight back to your exchange account, without going through any rebate platform. Fee Otter sets it to the highest level each exchange allows, and every exchange has a sign-up page or backend screenshot as proof (verified 14 October 2026).
A rebate comes in two parts. The first is paid automatically by the exchange; the second is paid by the rebate platform out of its own commission. Most referral codes you find online only carry the first part, often at just 20%. The two parts also differ in who pays: the exchange pays the automatic part, and the platform pays the extra part. If a platform stops paying, pays late or shuts down, you lose the extra part, but the automatic part is unaffected. So when you compare rebates, look at the total first, then at how much of it is automatic.

ⓘ CoinW's 60% is the international program. OKX's affiliate rules allow only the 20% automatic rebate to be published; contact support for the exclusive rewards. Spot totals: Gate 65%, Bitget 45%, HTX 45%, WEEX 45%, XT.COM 45%, Ourbit 70%, MEXC 60%, KuCoin 60%, Binance 40%.
Why look at the automatic part first
- It goes straight to your exchange account: the exchange calculates and pays the automatic rebate itself, into your exchange account. You don't need to claim it or withdraw it from a rebate platform.
- It doesn't depend on a platform paying: the extra part comes out of the platform's commission, so if the platform doesn't pay, you don't get it. The automatic part is paid by the exchange's referral program and is unaffected if the platform closes.
- It arrives sooner: the automatic part follows the exchange's own cycle. Binance's official FAQ says automatic rebates are converted hourly and credited to your spot account within 6 hours. The extra part is settled on Fee Otter daily at 16:00 (UTC+8), and you withdraw it from there.
- You can see the proof: the automatic rate is set in the exchange's backend, and it shows on the sign-up page opened through the referral link or in the referrer backend. We post a screenshot for every exchange.
At the same 70%, WEEX pays 60% directly from the exchange, while Gate pays only 20% that way; the other 50% waits for Fee Otter's settlement.
Worked example: 500 USDT of futures fees a month
| Exchange | Paid back automatically by the exchange | Extra paid back by Fee Otter | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| KuCoin | 500 × 60% = 300 | 0 | 300 |
| WEEX | 500 × 60% = 300 | 500 × 10% = 50 | 350 |
| Gate | 500 × 20% = 100 | 500 × 50% = 250 | 350 |
| Binance | 500 × 20% = 100 | 500 × 20% = 100 | 200 |
| Bybit | 0 | 500 × 40% = 200 | 200 |
In USDT. The automatic column goes straight back to your exchange account. The extra column builds up on Fee Otter and is withdrawn on chain over BEP20: the minimum is 1 USDT per withdrawal, and the 0.015 USDT network fee is paid by you. On WEEX, 300 of the 350 USDT is already back in your exchange account; only 50 USDT is withdrawn from Fee Otter.
How to check the automatic rebate yourself
- Before you sign up, look at the sign-up page: open it through the referral link, and the rebate rate for that code is shown near the referral code field (the layout differs by exchange). Whatever someone claims, go by the rate shown here. If a claimed rate is higher than what the sign-up page shows, the difference is not paid by the exchange.
- After you sign up, check your exchange account: after a day or two of trading, the automatic rebate appears in the exchange's rebate or asset records, credited by the exchange.
- Check Fee Otter's records: the extra part is listed on Fee Otter trade by trade, with the fee, rate and amount, so you can match it against the exchange's statement.
Each exchange caps the automatic rebate differently. On BingX, for example, the automatic rebate can be set to at most 45%, and that is what we set. If you see someone claim "BingX automatically pays 50% or more", open their sign-up link and check what the page actually shows under the referral code.
Special cases: Bybit, OKX, Pionex
- Bybit has no automatic rebate: all 40% is extra rebate paid by Fee Otter, settled daily on Fee Otter for you to withdraw. Don't apply the "20% base" logic of other exchanges. To rebind, see the Bybit rebind guide.
- OKX is a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards: 20% is the automatic rebate paid back by OKX; contact support about the exclusive rewards. To rebind, see the OKX rebind guide.
- Pionex's automatic rebate is 15%: lower than most exchanges, so 35% of its 50% total is extra rebate. See the Pionex fee rebate guide.
Automatic rebate vs extra rebate
| Item | Exchange automatic rebate | Fee Otter extra rebate |
|---|---|---|
| Who pays | The exchange | Fee Otter, out of its own commission |
| Where it goes | Your exchange account | Your Fee Otter account, then withdrawn to your wallet |
| When it arrives | By each exchange's rules, e.g. within 6 hours on Binance | Settled daily at 16:00 (UTC+8) |
| What you need to do | Sign up through the referral link or code | Bind your UID on Fee Otter after signing up |
| When it starts | From sign-up with the referral code | From when the UID is bound; earlier fees are not paid back |
Both parts are a share of the fee you paid, not of your capital or trading volume. A 40% fee rebate does not mean you get 40% of your money back.
