Bitget vs MEXC Fees 2026: 50% vs 60% Rebate

Bitget vs MEXC with Fee Otter's codes: 50% rebate on Bitget and 60% on MEXC, 2.5x and 3x a common 20% code. Net futures taker 0.03% vs 0.016%.

On fees, MEXC is cheaper than Bitget and pays the higher rebate: with Fee Otter's codes the rebate is 50% on Bitget and 60% on MEXC, and the futures taker fee (0.06% vs 0.04%) nets out to 0.03% vs 0.016% after the rebate, so Bitget costs about 1.9 times as much (checked October 2026). On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT; ours returns 500 on Bitget and 600 on MEXC. Bitget's case lies outside the fee table: copy trading, trading volume in tokenized stocks such as MSTR and SPY, BGB fee deduction, and a faster rebind route for mainland Chinese KYC. The referral codes differ: FEEOTTER on Bitget and mexc-FEEOTTER on MEXC. The dedicated links fill in the right one.

Quick verdict

  • More than double what common KOL codes pay: Bitget's 50% is 2.5 times a typical 20% code and MEXC's 60% is 3 times.
  • MEXC's rebate is 10 points higher: 60% vs 50% on futures; on spot, 60% vs Bitget's 45%.
  • MEXC's listed fees are lower in every cell: futures 0.01% / 0.04% vs 0.02% / 0.06%, spot 0% / 0.05% vs 0.10% / 0.10%.
  • MEXC's net futures cost is lower: Bitget's taker cost is about 1.9 times MEXC's (0.03% vs 0.016%) and its maker cost 2.5 times (0.01% vs 0.004%).
  • The gap widens on BTC, ETH and spot: MEXC currently charges 0.02% taker on BTC and ETH perps, and 0% on spot maker orders; Bitget spot is still 0.08% even with BGB.
  • Rebinding: MEXC lets you add a code yourself within 30 days of signup, and after that you sign up again with a new email; Bitget has no backfill route, so you delete the account and re-register after a 30-day cooldown.

How the two layers work: automatic vs extra rebate; the rates for every exchange are at rebate rates.

Bitget's spot rate is lower than its futures rate. Bitget pays 50% on futures and 45% on spot; MEXC pays 60% on both.

Fees verified on 2026-10-18 (each exchange's official fee schedule); MEXC promotional rates rechecked against its official API on 2026-10-18. · Methodology

Bitget's 0.06% futures taker fee is 1.5 times MEXC's 0.04%, and its 0.02% maker fee is double MEXC's. MEXC's fee page loads with JavaScript, so its figures come from MEXC's public API: on 2026-10-18, about 560 of about 1,190 contracts were at the standard 0.01% / 0.04%, the most common rate; on spot, BTC and ETH are 0% / 0.05%, while about 1,100 of 1,864 pairs, mostly smaller coins, charge 0.08% taker. Some MEXC spot promotions are fee-free; this article uses the 0.05% BTC and ETH carry. For current rates, see the official pages: Bitget fee FAQ · MEXC fee schedule.

The rebate is a share of the fee you actually pay, so the number to compare is the net fee after the rebate, not the rate itself. In this pair MEXC wins on both counts, which widens the gap.

Net cost after the rebate: Bitget taker is about 1.9 times MEXC

Common 20% code0.016%0.048%0.008%0.032%
Fee Otter's code0.01%0.03%0.004%0.016%

Formula: net fee = listed fee × (1 − rebate rate). For example, Bitget taker: 0.06% × (1 − 50%) = 0.03%; MEXC taker: 0.04% × (1 − 60%) = 0.016%. Even on Bitget, the 0.03% net taker fee with Fee Otter's code is more than 30% lower than the 0.048% you pay there with a common 20% code.

Your taker share does not change the verdict

Few people trade taker only. With 70% taker and 30% maker, the blended listed fee is 0.048% on Bitget and 0.031% on MEXC; net with Fee Otter's code that is 0.024% vs 0.0124%. Because MEXC is lower on both maker and taker and also pays the higher rebate, MEXC is cheaper at every mix. More on the math: effective perpetual fees after rebates.

In money: one trade and one month

One trade: 2,500 USDT margin at 20x leverage

Notional = 2,500 × 20 = 50,000 USDT. Opening as a taker, Bitget charges 50,000 × 0.06% = 30 USDT and MEXC 50,000 × 0.04% = 20 USDT. With Fee Otter's code you net pay 30 × 50% = 15 USDT on Bitget and 20 × 40% = 8 USDT on MEXC. Opening as a maker, Bitget charges 10 USDT (5 USDT net) and MEXC 5 USDT (2 USDT net).

BindingBitget returnedBitget net costMEXC returnedMEXC net cost
Common 20% code60 USDT240 USDT40 USDT160 USDT

Monthly fees: Bitget = 500,000 × 0.06% = 300 USDT, MEXC = 500,000 × 0.04% = 200 USDT; returned = monthly fees × rebate rate, net cost = monthly fees − returned. The two differ by 70 USDT a month in net cost. Bitget returns more in absolute terms only because its fee base is larger; the net cost is what matters. If you already trade on Bitget and don't want to move, switching from a 20% code to ours cuts your monthly net cost from 240 to 150 USDT, or 1,080 USDT a year.

If you are already a VIP on an exchange and want to rebind or sign up on another exchange, contact support. We can help you apply for special trading benefits or a higher rebate rate.

Pick the right code, then the right exchange. On the same 500,000 USDT of monthly taker volume, Bitget with a common 20% code costs 240 USDT net and with Fee Otter's code 150 USDT; MEXC with a common 20% code costs 160 USDT and with ours 80 USDT. Do both and the net cost can fall from 240 to 80 USDT.

BTC, ETH and zero-fee contracts: MEXC's extra edge

The figures above use MEXC's standard rates, but its two busiest contracts are currently cheaper: MEXC's public API on 2026-10-18 showed BTC and ETH perps at 0% maker and 0.02% taker, and about 125 other contracts at 0% for both (see the MEXC zero-fee page). After the rebate, MEXC's BTC and ETH perp taker fee is 0.008%; Bitget at its standard 0.06% nets 0.03%. Zero-fee contracts carry no fee and so no rebate; these are promotional rates that MEXC can change at any time, the figures in this section are as of the verification date 2026-10-18, and when a promotion ends the rate returns to the standard 0.01% / 0.04%.

Spot and platform tokens: 20% off with BGB still trails MEXC

Net spot takerBitgetBitget with BGBMEXC
Common 20% code0.08%0.064%0.04%
Fee Otter's code0.055% (45% spot rebate)0.044%0.02% (60% rebate)

The math: Bitget = 0.10% × (1 − 45%) = 0.055%; Bitget with BGB = 0.08% × (1 − 45%) = 0.044%; MEXC = 0.05% × (1 − 60%) = 0.02%. The BGB deduction gives 20% off on spot and margin but not futures (see Bitget's BGB deduction guide), and you have to hold BGB and carry its price risk. On 100,000 USDT of monthly spot taker volume, Bitget nets 55 USDT (44 USDT with BGB) against MEXC's 20 USDT; spot maker orders on MEXC cost 0%. More spot strategy: fee rebates for spot investors.

Tokenized stocks and copy trading: Bitget's home ground

Bitget is known for copy trading, with a full lead-trader and copy-trading feature set, so people who want to copy trade have a product reason beyond fees. On tokenized stocks, measured against Binance's 198 TradFi perpetuals, Bitget lists 177; our 24-hour notional volume check on 2026-09-20 showed MSTR at 40.9 million, CL crude oil 23.4 million, NVDA 5.1 million and SPY 3.9 million USDT, with fees following standard futures at 0.02% / 0.06%. We have not yet measured MEXC's tokenized stocks, so this section can only give Bitget's numbers. For large MSTR or SPY orders, slippage from thinner volume can matter more than the fee gap. MEXC: self-service within 30 days, a new email after that

Within 30 days of signup, a MEXC main account with no referrer yet can add Fee Otter's code through official self-service linking, with no new account needed. The referrer must have signed up before you, and the link cannot be changed later (see MEXC's self-service referrer linking guide). After 30 days, sign up again with a new email through the dedicated link; one person can hold at most 2 accounts, so if both are used, delete one first. Deletion takes up to 15 working days, during which you cannot deposit or trade (see MEXC's account deletion guide). Steps: MEXC rebind guide.

Bitget: delete, wait 30 days, sign up again

A Bitget exchange account has no public backfill route; the "add a code within 7 days" rule you may read online belongs to Bitget Wallet, not the exchange. To rebind, move your assets out, delete the old account, wait out the 30-day cooldown, then sign up again with the same email through the dedicated link so Fee Otter's code is applied. Bitget's rule is that for 30 days after deletion, the same phone number, email or ID cannot register a new account (see Bitget's account deletion guide). Support can shorten the cooldown for mainland Chinese KYC. Steps: Bitget rebind guide.

Either way, finish by binding the new account's UID on Fee Otter; only the UID is needed, never an API key or password. Submissions are reviewed automatically at 16:00 (UTC+8) the next day and pass if the account traded the previous day; rebates are settled daily and every entry is traceable.

The two exchanges use different codes: FEEOTTER on Bitget, mexc-FEEOTTER on MEXC. Each dedicated link fills in the right one; details in Bitget referral code and MEXC referral code.

Which one should you choose?

  • Mainly futures, lowest possible fees: MEXC. Lower fees and a higher rebate: net taker 0.016% vs Bitget's 0.03%.
  • Mainly BTC and ETH perps: MEXC. Promotional taker fees net out at 0.008%–0.01% on BTC and ETH.
  • Mainly spot: MEXC. Maker 0%, net taker 0.02%; Bitget is 0.044% even with BGB.
  • Copy trading, or large orders in tokenized stocks such as MSTR and SPY: Bitget. Product and volume are the reasons beyond fees, and Fee Otter's code still returns 300 USDT more a month than a common 20% code (on 1,000 USDT of monthly futures fees).
  • Both needs: bind both. Rebates show in one dashboard.

Next step: for Bitget, sign up with code FEEOTTER through the dedicated registration link. For MEXC, sign up with code mexc-FEEOTTER through the dedicated link on our MEXC referral code page; accounts under 30 days old can add the code themselves by following the MEXC rebind guide. Then bind your UID on the Fee Otter rebate platform, and your next trading fee starts earning rebates.
