DCA and long-term holding earn rebates too: every buy and rebalance pays a spot fee, and that fee counts. On 100k USDT bought monthly (spot rate about 0.1%, about 100 USDT in fees), binding through Fee Otter gets you 65% spot on Gate, or 65 USDT a month, 60 on MEXC, 50 on Pionex, 45 on WEEX, XT.COM, Bitget and HTX, and 40 on Binance and Bybit. OKX pays a 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards, or 20. How you buy stays the same (checked October 2026).
Compared with the common 20% KOL referral codes you find online, DCA investors bound through Fee Otter get more than double: buying 100,000 USDT a month, a common 20% code returns about 240 USDT a year, while binding Binance returns 480 (2×) and Gate 780 (3.25×). (Rebate table as of September 2026; spot fee estimated at 0.1%.)
Quick answer
- Spot fees earn rebates too: every buy and rebalance counts toward your rebate.
- More than a common code: spot rates when bound through Fee Otter are Binance and Bybit 40% (2× a common 20% code), Bitget, WEEX and XT.COM 45%, MEXC 60% (3×) and Gate 65% (3.25×); OKX 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards.
- Keep using platform-token discounts: they lower what you pay; the rebate rate stays the same, and both work together.
- The longer you DCA, the bigger the gap: your buying stays the same, and more of each month's fee comes back.
Who is this for?
Spot-focused investors dollar-cost-averaging into BTC/ETH or building long-term allocations. You don't chase frequency, but every monthly buy pays a fee. A rebate returns part of that long-term cost without changing how you buy.
Why DCA investors should bind rebate too
Spot rates (~0.1%) are usually higher than perp taker (~0.05%), so the same-size spot buy actually costs more in fees. DCA is something you do for years, so getting 40% to 65% of monthly fees back adds up to a meaningful saving over time. Rebates don't affect your investment decisions: you keep DCA'ing and reclaim fees you'd otherwise pay for nothing.
How much can you save? (DCA scenario)
At a spot rate of ~0.1%, buying 100k USDT a month (~100 USDT in monthly fees), and each exchange's spot rebate rate, you get back per month:
- Gate 65%: 65/mo, about 780/yr
- MEXC 60%: 60/mo, about 720/yr
- Pionex 50% (15% exchange auto-rebate + 35% Fee Otter extra): 50/mo, about 600/yr
- WEEX 45% (35% exchange auto-rebate + 10% Fee Otter extra): 45/mo, about 540/yr
- XT.COM 45% (35% exchange auto-rebate + 10% Fee Otter extra): 45/mo, about 540/yr
- Bitget 45%: 45/mo, about 540/yr
- HTX 45%: 45/mo, about 540/yr
- Binance 40%: 40/mo, about 480/yr
- Bybit 40%: 40/mo, about 480/yr
- OKX 20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards: 20/mo

Paying fees with an exchange token (e.g. BNB) lowers what you actually pay, so the rebate base drops too, but the rebate rate is unchanged.
Net spot fee after rebate, by exchange
Spot fees vary a lot between exchanges, and the net rate after rebate is the real cost of your DCA. Using VIP0 spot taker fees, a common 20% code and the spot rate when bound through Fee Otter:
| Exchange | Spot taker | Net with a common 20% code | Net via Fee Otter |
| Gate | 0.10% | 0.08% | 0.035% (65%) |
| MEXC | 0.05% (BTC, ETH) | 0.04% | 0.02% (60%) |
| Bitget | 0.10% | 0.08% | 0.055% (45%) |
| Binance | 0.10% | 0.08% | 0.06% (40%) |
| Bybit | 0.10% | 0.08% | 0.06% (40%) |
| HTX | 0.20% | 0.16% | 0.11% (45%) |
| OKX | 0.10% | 0.08% | 0.08% (20% auto-rebate + exclusive rewards) |
Fees verified on 2026-09-24 (each exchange's official fee schedule: Binance, Bybit, Gate, Bitget, MEXC, HTX) · Methodology
Platform-token discounts stack on top: paying Binance spot fees in BNB costs 0.075%, holding GT on Gate gives 0.09%, and BGB on Bitget gives 20% off. The discount shrinks the base the rebate is paid on, but not the rate. MEXC spot maker is 0%, so DCA with limit orders costs even less; see the MEXC fee rebate guide.
How much comes back per year for each DCA amount?
At an estimated 0.1% spot fee, here are a year's fees and rebates for different monthly amounts:
| Monthly buy | Fees per year | Common 20% code | Binance 40% | Gate 65% |
| 1,000 USDT | 12 | 2.4 | 4.8 | 7.8 |
| 10,000 USDT | 120 | 24 | 48 | 78 |
| 100,000 USDT | 1,200 | 240 | 480 | 780 |
DCA runs for years, so binding the right code once means every future buy returns 2 to 3.25 times more. For spot details see the Binance fee rebate guide and the Gate fee rebate guide; to choose between two, see Gate vs Bitget fee rebate.
Which exchange fits you?
DCA investors value spot depth, coin selection, and long-term safety. If the amount returned matters most, Gate pays 65% on spot and lists plenty of coins, and WEEX and XT.COM pay 45%; if you prefer liquidity and ecosystem, Binance pays 40%. Pick one you'll use long term and register with the code. Each exchange's rate is in the table below:
How to start
Register the exchange you'll use long term with the referral code (FEEOTTER on Gate, Bitget and Bybit), then bind its UID on the rebate platform (Fee Otter). Registration guides: Binance, Gate; to understand spot maker/taker rates, see Maker/Taker fees explained.
Common DCA mistakes
- Thinking only futures earn rebates: spot fees count too, and spot fees are usually higher than futures taker fees.
- Using several exchanges but binding only one: each exchange's UID must be bound separately for its fees to count.
- Skipping the code at signup: a bound code cannot be changed; for add-later windows and rebinds see the exchange rebind rules summary, and for every code the exchange referral code list.
- Comparing listed fees only: HTX spot at 0.2% looks high, but it nets 0.11% after rebate, so compare net rates.
Buying 100,000 USDT a month, a common 20% code returns 240 USDT a year, while binding Gate through Fee Otter returns 780 USDT: over ten years, 2,400 versus 7,800.
On exchanges with a platform token, you can first use the platform-token discount on spot fees, then get part of the fee back through a rebate, and the two stack. Calculated on spot taker (amount paid = list fee × (1 − discount) × (1 − rebate)):
| Exchange | List fee | Platform-token discount | After discount | Paid with a common 20% code | Paid via Fee Otter |
| Gate | 0.10% | GT about 10% off | 0.09% | 0.072% | 0.0315% (65%) |
| Bitget | 0.10% | BGB 20% off | 0.08% | 0.064% | 0.044% (45%) |
| Binance | 0.10% | BNB 25% off | 0.075% | 0.06% | 0.045% (40%) |
| HTX | 0.20% | HTX 25% off | 0.15% | 0.12% | 0.0825% (45%) |
Discount rates follow each exchange's official documentation, verified 2026-09-24; see the Exchange Fee and Rebate Index for the data.
BNB has the largest discount, but after stacking the rebate, Gate is still the lowest. Also, MEXC spot maker is 0%: if you DCA with limit orders, the fee is 0, so there is no rebate either. In that case, just place maker orders.
Is the fee the same whether you invest weekly or monthly?
Yes. Spot fees are charged as a percentage of the traded amount, so investing 250 USDT a week four times and 1,000 USDT once a month means you pay the same fees and get the same rebate. What drives cost up is not frequency but chasing the price with market orders: for the same amount, a market order pays taker and a limit order pays maker, and the gap is most obvious on exchanges with 0% maker like MEXC.
FAQ
I only buy spot and barely trade futures. Can I still earn rebate?
Yes. Rebate returns a percentage of the fees you actually pay, and spot fees count toward rebate just the same.
If I pay fees with an exchange token (like BNB), do I still get rebate?
Yes. After the discount you pay lower fees, so the rebate base is lower, but the rebate rate is unchanged, and the two work together.
My DCA volume is small. Is binding worth it?
Yes. DCA runs for years, and the fees add up; returning part of them at zero cost effectively lowers your long-term holding cost.
If I don't request a withdrawal for a long time, does rebate expire?
Rebate accumulates in USDT as your available balance, and you can request a withdrawal anytime. Actual rules follow what the Fee Otter platform shows; ask support if unsure.
How is OKX counted?
OKX is calculated at its 20% auto-rebate; contact support about our exclusive OKX rewards and promotions.
How much more does a DCA investor get with Fee Otter's code than with a common 20% code?
2 to 3.25 times more on spot. Buying 100,000 USDT a month at a 0.1% spot fee, a common code returns about 240 USDT a year, while binding through Fee Otter returns 480 on Binance and 780 on Gate.
Is the spot rebate rate the same as the futures rate?
On most exchanges, yes. When bound through Fee Otter, Gate spot is 65% (futures 70%) and Bitget and HTX spot are 45% (futures 50%), WEEX and XT.COM spot are 45% (futures 70%); Binance, Bybit, MEXC and Pionex pay the same on spot and futures.
These are estimates using reference rates; actual fees and rebates follow what each exchange and the Fee Otter platform display in real time. This article is information, not investment advice.
