XT.COM has nine VIP tiers, VIP0 to VIP7 plus Premium VIP. You move up by meeting any one of three conditions (current assets, 30-day trading volume or 30-day average assets), and levels update every day at 11:00 (UTC+8). Futures taker falls from 0.06% at VIP0 to 0.028% at Premium VIP, and spot from 0.2% to 0.02%; 1 million USDT of 30-day futures volume gets you VIP2, with a 0.046% taker fee (checked October 2026).
VIP has to be earned with volume or assets; a rebate works from the day you bind. Sign up with code FEEOTTER through Fee Otter and XT.COM pays a 70% futures rebate, 3.5 times a common 20% code. The two stack: VIP lowers the listed rate, and the rebate returns part of the fee you actually paid. This guide covers the official tier tables, spot and futures rates per tier, update rules, how to apply if you're already VIP elsewhere, and what you pay once a VIP rate and a rebate are combined.
Quick answers
- VIP1 is easy to reach: 30,000 USDT in assets, 200,000 USDT of 30-day futures volume or 20,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume. Futures taker drops from 0.06% to 0.054% and spot from 0.2% to 0.16%.
- 1 million USDT of futures volume reaches VIP2: taker 0.046%, about a quarter below VIP0.
- Spot only reaches 0.1% at VIP4: 500,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume or 200,000 USDT in assets, which is where other large exchanges start at VIP0.
- Updated daily at 11:00 (UTC+8), and the new rate applies immediately.
- Already VIP elsewhere: the XT.COM fee page has an "Apply to be a VIP" form where you upload screenshots of your level and 30-day volume on another platform. Fee Otter support can also help; XT.COM makes the final call.
Each spot tier on XT.COM cuts the rate noticeably, but futures tiers move slowly. Under 1 million USDT of futures a month, a high rebate does more than chasing a tier.
XT.COM futures VIP0 to Premium VIP: requirements and fees
The figures below come from the public data behind the XT.COM fee page (VIP tier API), checked on 2026-10-07. The fee page puts "or" between the three conditions, so any one is enough.
| Tier | Current assets (USDT) | 30-day futures volume (USDT) | 30-day avg assets (USDT) | Maker / Taker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0.02% / 0.06% |
| VIP1 | ≥ 30K | ≥ 200K | ≥ 30K | 0.018% / 0.054% |
| VIP2 | ≥ 50K | ≥ 1M | ≥ 50K | 0.015% / 0.046% |
| VIP3 | ≥ 100K | ≥ 8M | ≥ 100K | 0.013% / 0.041% |
| VIP4 | ≥ 200K | ≥ 15M | ≥ 200K | 0.012% / 0.037% |
| VIP5 | ≥ 500K | ≥ 35M | ≥ 500K | 0.01% / 0.035% |
| VIP6 | ≥ 1M | ≥ 85M | ≥ 1M | 0.008% / 0.033% |
| VIP7 | ≥ 2M | ≥ 150M | ≥ 2M | 0.006% / 0.03% |
| Premium VIP | ≥ 5M | ≥ 300M | ≥ 5M | 0.004% / 0.028% |
As of 2026-10-07; always check the official page.
One catch: the tier table lists a VIP0 futures maker fee of 0.02%, but XT.COM's public futures API on the same day showed 0.04% maker on about 470 contracts, including BTC_USDT and ETH_USDT, and 0.02% on about 290 others, with 0.06% taker on all of them. The maker rate you actually pay depends on the contract; the order page and your trade history show it. The fee split by contract is in the XT.COM futures guide.
Spot VIP requirements and fees
The spot table swaps the volume condition for 30-day spot volume; the asset conditions are the same:
| Tier | Current assets (USDT) | 30-day spot volume (USDT) | 30-day avg assets (USDT) | Maker / Taker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0.2% / 0.2% |
| VIP1 | ≥ 30K | ≥ 20K | ≥ 30K | 0.16% / 0.16% |
| VIP2 | ≥ 50K | ≥ 100K | ≥ 50K | 0.15% / 0.15% |
| VIP3 | ≥ 100K | ≥ 250K | ≥ 100K | 0.12% / 0.12% |
| VIP4 | ≥ 200K | ≥ 500K | ≥ 200K | 0.10% / 0.10% |
| VIP5 | ≥ 500K | ≥ 1M | ≥ 500K | 0.07% / 0.07% |
| VIP6 | ≥ 1M | ≥ 5M | ≥ 1M | 0.06% / 0.06% |
| VIP7 | ≥ 2M | ≥ 10M | ≥ 2M | 0.04% / 0.04% |
| Premium VIP | ≥ 5M | ≥ 30M | ≥ 5M | 0.02% / 0.02% |
Three things to notice:
- Spot maker and taker are the same at every tier, so a limit order is not cheaper.
- VIP1 needs only 20,000 USDT of spot volume: 0.2% becomes 0.16%, the easiest cut in the whole table.
- VIP0's 0.2% is double the 0.1% VIP0 rate at other large exchanges, and XT.COM only matches it at VIP4.
The spot table on the fee page also has a column labeled "XT 25% Discount": paying spot fees with the XT platform token saves 25%. The actual discount is whatever the page shows once you log in; the futures table has no such column. For maker vs taker, see maker vs taker fees explained.
How tiers are calculated and when they update
- Any one of three conditions: current account assets, 30-day volume or 30-day average assets, joined by "or" in the fee page headers.
- Spot volume for spot, futures volume for futures: the two tables list volume separately. The official page does not say whether a tier earned through spot volume also applies to futures; your account page shows the tier and rates you actually have.
- Updated daily at 11:00 (UTC+8): "User VIP levels and fee rates are updated daily at 11:00 (UTC+8) based on account status. Once updated, the corresponding rates in the fee schedule will apply immediately."
Assets are the fastest route: 30,000 USDT in the account means VIP1 and 50,000 USDT means VIP2, with no volume needed. That also means keeping funds on the exchange; for the risk side and XT.COM's reserves, see XT.COM proof of reserves.
Already VIP elsewhere: apply for XT.COM VIP
The XT.COM fee page has an "Apply to be a VIP" form. You pick the other platform and your level there, then upload "screenshots of user levels and 30-day trading volume on other platforms" (jpg, jpeg, png or svg, up to 2M each, at most 5 images). The platform list includes Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, Gate, HTX, MEXC, KuCoin, Kraken, Coinbase and Bitfinex, among others. XT.COM decides whether to approve and which tier to grant.
If you're already a VIP on an exchange and want to rebind or sign up on another one, contact support. We can help you apply for special trading perks or a higher rebate rate.
How rebates work after you reach VIP: effective rates
VIP lowers the listed rate and the rebate returns a share of the fee you actually paid, so:
Effective rate = VIP tier rate × (1 − rebate ratio)
Using XT.COM's official futures taker rates and Fee Otter's 70% futures rebate:
| Scenario | Listed taker | Calculation | Effective taker |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0, no rebate | 0.06% | n/a | 0.06% |
| VIP0 + common 20% code | 0.06% | 0.06% × (1 − 20%) | 0.048% |
| VIP0 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.06% | 0.06% × (1 − 70%) | 0.018% |
| VIP1 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.054% | 0.054% × (1 − 70%) | 0.0162% |
| VIP2 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.046% | 0.046% × (1 − 70%) | 0.0138% |
| VIP3 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.041% | 0.041% × (1 − 70%) | 0.0123% |
| VIP5 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.035% | 0.035% × (1 − 70%) | 0.0105% |
| Premium VIP, no rebate | 0.028% | n/a | 0.028% |
For spot, use the 45% spot rebate: VIP0's 0.2% becomes 0.11%, VIP1's 0.16% becomes 0.088%, and VIP4's 0.1% becomes 0.055%.
In money: 1 million USDT of futures in a month, all taker, lands exactly on VIP2. At VIP0 rates that costs 600 USDT; at VIP2 it costs 460 USDT. Fee Otter's 70% returns 322 USDT of that, so you pay 138 USDT. At the same VIP2 a common 20% code returns 92 USDT and you pay 368 USDT.
A volume-based tier only lowers your rate after the volume is in, while a rebate counts every trade from the day you bind. These are estimates from official listed rates; your trade history and rebate statement are what count. See how rebates are settled.
Which route to VIP makes sense?
- Mostly futures, a few hundred thousand USDT a month: 200,000 USDT reaches VIP1 (0.054% taker) and 1 million reaches VIP2 (0.046%). Below that, the rebate matters far more than the tier.
- Mostly spot: 20,000 USDT of spot volume gives VIP1, but 0.16% is still above other exchanges' VIP0. For choosing between spot and futures on XT.COM, see the XT.COM fee rebate guide.
- Large balance, little trading: current or 30-day average assets can carry you up a tier, but weigh the risk of keeping funds on an exchange first.
- Already VIP elsewhere: use the VIP application on the fee page, or ask Fee Otter support for help.
