XT.COM Proof of Reserves 2026: BTC 113%, USDT 113%, Merkle Verification and Past Snapshots

XT.COM proof of reserves, 2026-10-07 snapshot: BTC 113%, ETH 111%, USDT 113%, USDC 110%. Past snapshots, Merkle verification steps and what PoR cannot prove.

XT.COM's latest proof of reserves is the 2026-10-07 snapshot, and all four covered coins, BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC, are above 110%: BTC 113%, ETH 111%, USDT 113% and USDC 110%. Users can check that their own balance is included with XT.COM's Merkle tree validator; the official page does not name an auditing firm (checked October 2026).

Proof of reserves (PoR) is how an exchange shows that the coins in its wallets are no fewer than the coins its users hold on the platform. This article uses the official public data behind XT.COM's proof of reserves page to cover the latest and past snapshots coin by coin, how the Merkle tree works, how to verify your own balance, and what PoR can and cannot prove. All figures were checked on 2026-10-07.

Quick answers

  • The latest snapshot is 2026-10-07: BTC 113%, ETH 111%, USDT 113%, USDC 110%, all above 100%.
  • Only four major coins are covered: the page calls it the "reserve ratio for mainstream assets" and says more coins will be added; everything else is outside this proof.
  • The method is a Merkle tree: each user's UID and balance are hashed into the tree, and you can verify by entering your Merkle leaf.
  • No auditor is named: XT.COM's description mentions auditing through an authorized third-party firm, but the PoR page does not name one.
  • Roughly monthly, but irregular: the official data keeps 15 snapshots, the earliest on 2024-12-15, with some months skipped.

PoR shows that at the moment of the snapshot the platform held at least as many coins as its users. It says nothing about what happened afterwards and cannot show the platform's other liabilities.

Latest proof of reserves: 2026-10-07 snapshot

From the official public data called by the XT.COM proof of reserves page (audit ID 20261007064034), checked on 2026-10-07. Reserve ratio = coins held in XT.COM wallets ÷ users' holdings of that coin on the platform.

CoinUser assetsXT.COM wallet assetsReserve ratio
BTC375.10 BTC422.63 BTC113%
ETH1,378.32 ETH1,532.54 ETH111%
USDTabout 41.24Mabout 46.49M113%
USDCabout 1.82Mabout 2.01M110%

The official page says XT.COM keeps 1:1 reserves for all user assets and publishes PoR reports regularly, and that a ratio of 100% or more means funds are fully sufficient. Two things to keep in mind:

  • The scale is small: users hold about 375 BTC and about 41 million USDT on XT.COM. Compared with roughly 27,657 BTC of user assets in Bitget's proof of reserves, XT.COM is a much smaller exchange.
  • Only four coins are covered: small-cap listings are one of XT.COM's main draws, but their reserves are not part of this proof.

Reserve ratios across snapshots

The same official source keeps 15 snapshots. Here are the latest 11 (snapshot date, ratios rounded to 0.1%):

Three things to notice:

  • Every coin in every snapshot is above 110%; the lowest in the past year was BTC at 110.0% on 2026-03-28.
  • The 2026-07-04 and 2026-08-05 snapshots are identical: user and wallet figures match exactly for all four coins, and XT.COM gives no explanation. Nothing was published for May or June 2026.
  • Coverage has changed: USDT was only added from the 2025-11-29 snapshot, and ETH is missing from the four snapshots between 2025-11 and 2026-02.

How XT.COM's PoR works: the Merkle tree

According to the official page, each user's UID and balance are hashed into a leaf node, pairs of nodes are hashed upwards, and the result is a single root hash. Changing any account or balance in a leaf changes the root, so each user can check that their assets are in the tree without exposing anyone else's data. XT.COM's blog post on PoR and Merkle trees also says users can enter their Merkle leaf and Audit ID in the Merkle tree validator to confirm their balance.

Merkle verification only tells you that your balance is in this snapshot's tree. Whether the platform's coins are really on-chain has to be checked against the reserve figures XT.COM publishes.

How to verify it yourself

  1. Log in and open the proof of reserves page: pick the snapshot and click "View Report" to see your data for that period, then note the Audit ID and your Merkle leaf.
  2. Open the Merkle tree validator and enter your Merkle leaf.
  3. Check the result: the page shows your Merkle leaf calculation and its route through the tree. "Verification passed" with the correct balance means your assets are in that snapshot's tree.

The PoR page also has an "Open-Source Verification" entry for people who want to compute it with open-source tools. Exact button names and fields are whatever the page shows once you log in.

The November 2024 hot wallet incident

In November 2024, about 1.7 million US dollars was stolen from an XT.COM hot wallet and withdrawals were paused; XT.COM said the losses were company assets and user funds were not affected (CoinDesk). The earliest PoR in the official data is 2024-12-15, after the incident, showing BTC at 142.3%, ETH at 124.6% and USDC at 134.2%. PoR cannot prevent incidents like this; it only lets users see at the next snapshot whether reserves are still sufficient.

What PoR can and cannot prove

These are general limits of Merkle-tree PoR at any exchange, not something specific to XT.COM.

What it can show

  • How many of the four major coins the platform's wallets held at the snapshot.
  • That your account balance is included in user assets (via Merkle verification).
  • Whether reserves for each coin are at least equal to users' holdings of that coin.

What it cannot show

  • Anything after the snapshot: changes between snapshots are not reflected.
  • Other coins: XT.COM's PoR covers only BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC.
  • Full liabilities: the Merkle tree covers user assets, not the platform's other liabilities.
  • Whether assets are pledged or lent out, or operational and security risk.

PoR is one tool for checking an exchange, not a guarantee of safety. Keep only funds you are actively trading on XT.COM, and move idle or long-term holdings to your own wallet.

PoR and regulation

PoR is a transparency measure the platform publishes itself; it is separate from holding a licence or being regulated. XT.COM was founded in 2018 and is registered in Seychelles. Licence status by country is in exchange licences compared.

How this relates to rebates

Binding a rebate only takes your UID; the rebate platform cannot touch your account or assets, so reserve and security risk is the same with or without a rebate. The reasoning is in is a fee rebate safe. Register on XT.COM with code FEEOTTER and bind Fee Otter for a 70% futures rebate, 3.5 times a common 20% code; the numbers are in the XT.COM fee rebate guide. Withdrawal fees for moving funds to your own wallet are in XT.COM deposits and withdrawals, and you can bind on the Fee Otter rebate platform.
