WEEX has nine VIP levels, VIP0 to VIP8, and you move up by meeting any one of three conditions: 30-day futures volume, WXT held over the last 24 hours, or 5-day average assets. Holding 50,000 WXT or keeping 30,000 USDT on average for 5 days already gets you VIP2, which cuts the futures taker fee from 0.08% to 0.06%. Levels update daily at 02:00 (UTC+8) (checked October 2026).
This guide covers the futures and spot tables on the official WEEX VIP page, how each condition is counted, the 14-day downgrade buffer, VIP status match for traders who are VIP elsewhere, and what you actually pay once a rebate is added on top of a VIP rate. VIP takes volume, tokens or assets to reach. A rebate applies to every trade from the day you bind: sign up with our referral code otter123 and bind through Fee Otter for a 70% futures rebate, 3.5 times a common 20% code.
Key points
- VIP1 barely moves the taker fee: futures taker goes from 0.08% to 0.075% and maker stays at 0.02%. The real drop comes at VIP2 (0.06%).
- Volume is optional: VIP2 needs 5M USDT of 30-day futures volume, or 50,000 WXT held over 24 hours, or 30,000 USDT in 5-day average assets.
- Spot has its own table: VIP0 spot is 0.1% for both maker and taker, falling from VIP1 up.
- Daily update at 02:00 (UTC+8), effective immediately; if you stop qualifying you keep your level for 14 days.
- VIP elsewhere? WEEX runs a VIP status match. Upload proof of your level on another exchange; a rejected application can be resubmitted after 30 days.
WEEX futures VIP0 to VIP8: thresholds and fees
Figures come from the WEEX VIP Program page and the official fee page, checked 2026-10-07. WEEX labels the conditions "VIP requirements (meet any)".
| Level | 30-day futures volume (USDT) | WXT held (24h) | 5-day avg assets (USDT) | Futures maker | Futures taker |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0 | — | — | — | 0.020% | 0.080% |
| VIP1 | ≥ 1,000,000 | ≥ 5,000 | ≥ 10,000 | 0.020% | 0.075% |
| VIP2 | ≥ 5,000,000 | ≥ 50,000 | ≥ 30,000 | 0.018% | 0.060% |
| VIP3 | ≥ 10,000,000 | ≥ 250,000 | ≥ 50,000 | 0.018% | 0.055% |
| VIP4 | ≥ 30,000,000 | ≥ 500,000 | ≥ 100,000 | 0.016% | 0.050% |
| VIP5 | ≥ 50,000,000 | ≥ 1,000,000 | ≥ 200,000 | 0.016% | 0.048% |
| VIP6 | ≥ 100,000,000 | ≥ 1,500,000 | ≥ 300,000 | 0.014% | 0.045% |
| VIP7 | ≥ 300,000,000 | ≥ 2,500,000 | ≥ 500,000 | 0.012% | 0.042% |
| VIP8 | ≥ 500,000,000, with non-API futures volume ≥ 450,000,000 | — | — | 0.010% | 0.040% |
VIP8 is volume-only, and at least 450M of the 500M has to be non-API trading.
The futures taker breakpoint is VIP2. VIP0 to VIP1 saves 0.005 percentage points, VIP1 to VIP2 saves 0.015, and after that each level shaves off a little until VIP8 reaches 0.04%, half the VIP0 rate. The public WEEX futures API agrees: 902 of 1,033 perpetual contracts carry the VIP0 rate of 0.02% maker and 0.08% taker (2026-10-07). For the maker/taker difference see maker vs taker fees.
Spot VIP fees
Spot uses a separate table with 30-day spot volume as the trading condition. The WXT and 5-day asset thresholds are the same as for futures.
| Level | 30-day spot volume (USDT) | Spot maker | Spot taker |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0 | — | 0.100% | 0.100% |
| VIP1 | ≥ 500,000 | 0.080% | 0.090% |
| VIP2 | ≥ 1,000,000 | 0.070% | 0.080% |
| VIP3 | ≥ 2,000,000 | 0.050% | 0.060% |
| VIP4 | ≥ 5,000,000 | 0.040% | 0.050% |
| VIP5 | ≥ 10,000,000 | 0.030% | 0.040% |
| VIP6 | ≥ 25,000,000 | 0.020% | 0.030% |
| VIP7 | ≥ 50,000,000 | 0.010% | 0.020% |
| VIP8 | ≥ 100,000,000, with non-API volume ≥ 90,000,000 | 0.005% | 0.018% |
In the spot pair list behind the official fee page, 1,596 of 1,605 pairs are 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker, and 9 are marked zero-fee (2026-10-07). WEEX ran a 0% spot maker promotion from 5 February to 31 March 2025. It has ended, so a VIP0 spot maker order now pays 0.1% too.
How the conditions are counted
- Futures or spot volume: the past 30 days.
- WXT: the amount held over 1 day (24 hours), so it is the fastest of the three routes.
- Assets: your 5-day average balance, valued in USDT.
- Any one is enough: each route is checked separately and you get the level you reach.
Timing: the official FAQ says VIP levels update automatically at 02:00 (UTC+8) the next day, and new perks apply as soon as the level changes.
14-day downgrade protection
If you no longer meet any VIP condition, you enter a 14-day protection period and keep all VIP perks, fee discounts included. When it ends, your level is set from your data at that point (WEEX VIP benefits announcement).
VIP level also sets your withdrawal limit
The VIP page lists 24-hour withdrawal limits in two columns, "Basic verification" and "Advanced verification" (USDT):
| Level | Basic verification | Advanced verification |
|---|---|---|
| VIP0 | 10,000 | 1,000,000 |
| VIP1 to VIP3 | 50,000 | 5,000,000 |
| VIP4 to VIP6 | 100,000 | 10,000,000 |
| VIP7 | 200,000 | 12,000,000 |
| VIP8 | 500,000 | 15,000,000 |
VIP1 to VIP8 also come with gift packs worth 50 to 5,000 USDT, claimed through the monthly VIP event; they may contain spot tokens, WXT, trial funds or coupons. Verification steps and withdrawal rules are in our WEEX KYC guide.
Already VIP elsewhere: WEEX VIP status match
The VIP page has a "VIP status match" form for users who hold VIP status on another platform. You upload authentic, verifiable proof (JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB each, three files at most), and WEEX sends the result by in-app notification and email. If approved, the matching level and perks are switched on for a period set by WEEX announcements. If rejected, you wait 30 days before applying again. High-volume traders who want to know what trading benefits they can ask for can also contact Fee Otter support first.
The WXT half-price deal is gone; WXT now buys VIP levels
On 30 December 2024 at 17:00 (UTC+8), WEEX moved to the VIP fee schedule and ended the "hold 100,000 WXT for 50% off fees" offer (announcement). Holding WXT now counts toward VIP: 50,000 WXT over 24 hours is VIP2, 250,000 is VIP3.
Rebates after a VIP upgrade: what you actually pay
The rebate is calculated on the fees you actually pay. A VIP level lowers the rate, and the rebate then refunds a share of that lower fee:
Effective rate = VIP rate × (1 − rebate rate)
Using official futures taker rates and the 70% Fee Otter futures rebate:
| Scenario | Listed taker | Calculation | Effective taker |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP0, no rebate | 0.08% | — | 0.08% |
| VIP0 + common 20% code | 0.08% | 0.08% × (1 − 20%) | 0.064% |
| VIP0 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.08% | 0.08% × (1 − 70%) | 0.024% |
| VIP2, no rebate | 0.06% | — | 0.06% |
| VIP2 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.06% | 0.06% × (1 − 70%) | 0.018% |
| VIP4 + Fee Otter 70% | 0.05% | 0.05% × (1 − 70%) | 0.015% |
| VIP8, no rebate | 0.04% | — | 0.04% |
VIP0 with a 70% rebate (0.024%) already pays less than VIP8 without one (0.04%). For spot, use 45%: a VIP0 spot taker fee of 0.1% becomes 0.055%, and VIP3's 0.06% becomes 0.033%.
In dollar terms: 5M USDT of futures volume in a month, all taker, lands you at VIP2. At VIP0 rates you would pay 4,000 USDT; at VIP2 you pay 3,000. A 70% Fee Otter rebate returns 2,100 of that, so you net 900 USDT. At VIP2 with a common 20% code you get 600 back and pay 2,400.
These are estimates from listed rates; your trade history and rebate statement are what count. Payouts are explained in how rebates are settled. If you are already a VIP on an exchange and want to rebind or sign up on another one, contact support and we can help you apply for special trading benefits or a higher rebate rate.
Which route should you take?
- Under 5M USDT of monthly futures volume: VIP1 only trims 0.005 points off the taker fee. Binding a rebate first does far more.
- Idle assets on hand: 30,000 USDT in 5-day average assets is VIP2 with no volume needed. Before parking funds on an exchange, read our WEEX proof of reserves breakdown.
- Already holding WXT: 50,000 WXT is VIP2. WXT's price moves, so if you buy it just to level up, count that risk.
- Mostly API trading: VIP8 requires non-API volume, so bot-heavy accounts should check that line.
The two layers of the WEEX rebate and payouts at different volumes are in our WEEX fee rebate guide, and VIP thresholds across exchanges are compared in exchange VIP levels compared. New to WEEX?
