Sign up for CoinW with the Fee Otter invite code OTTER and you get a 60% rebate on futures fees, paid automatically by CoinW. That is 3× a typical 20% invite code. On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT and OTTER returns 600 USDT (verified October 2026).
CoinW futures list at 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. After the 60% rebate, a 70/30 taker/maker blend works out to about 0.0192%.

How the CoinW rebate works: 60%, paid automatically
CoinW charges the full fee when you trade and refunds the rebate afterwards, so the rate on the order screen stays the same. You see the savings later.
| Layer | Paid by | Rate | Condition |
| Automatic rebate | CoinW | 60% | Sign up with invite code OTTER |
| Extra rebate | Rebate platform (Fee Otter) | 0% | CoinW has no extra layer here |
CoinW settles the automatic rebate itself, and it never passes through Fee Otter. There is no extra layer on CoinW. For how the two layers differ in general, see Automatic vs extra rebates.
Know what you pay first: CoinW futures fees
| Type | Maker | Taker | Notes |
| USDT-margined perpetuals | 0.02% | 0.06% | Same rate across all 376 perpetuals |
Source: CoinW official futures API (12 October 2026; field definitions in the CoinW API docs) · Data sources and methodology
CoinW's futures taker fee of 0.06% is 3× the maker fee. Most exchanges sit at 2.5×, so limit orders save you more on CoinW than usual. Some third-party sites list maker at 0.01%; that's a discounted rate on individual accounts. The standard rate returned by the official API is 0.02%.
Net fee rates after the rebate
There's one formula: net rate = listed rate × (1 − rebate rate).
| Route | Futures taker 0.06% | Futures maker 0.02% | 70/30 blend 0.048% |
| Typical 20% code | 0.048% | 0.016% | 0.0384% |
| OTTER (60%) | 0.024% | 0.008% | 0.0192% |
Compared with other exchanges on the same 70% taker / 30% maker mix (VIP 0 listed rates, each exchange's rebate rate through Fee Otter):
| Exchange | Blended listed rate | Rebate rate | Net rate after rebate |
| Ourbit | 0.034% | 70% | 0.0102% |
| Gate | 0.041% | 70% | 0.0123% |
| MEXC | 0.031% | 60% | 0.0124% |
| XT.COM (VIP0) | 0.054% | 70% | 0.0162% |
| WEEX (VIP0) | 0.062% | 70% | 0.0186% |
| CoinW | 0.048% | 60% | 0.0192% |
CoinW's listed taker fee is on the high side, so even at 60% its net blended rate lands just behind WEEX. If you mostly trade with limit orders, you pay much less, because maker is 1/3 of taker. Compare exchanges on the post-rebate numbers. (OKX has a 20% automatic rebate + exclusive rewards and isn't included in the comparison.)
How much do you get back? Five trading volumes
Estimates use the 0.048% blended rate for 70% taker and 30% maker futures trading (monthly fee = monthly volume × 0.048%):
| Monthly volume | Monthly fee | Typical 20% code | OTTER 60% | Extra per year |
| 100K USDT | 48 USDT | 9.6 | 28.8 | 230.4 |
| 500K USDT | 240 USDT | 48 | 144 | 1,152 |
| 2M USDT | 960 USDT | 192 | 576 | 4,608 |
| 5M USDT | 2,400 USDT | 480 | 1,440 | 11,520 |
| 10M USDT | 4,800 USDT | 960 | 2,880 | 23,040 |
"Extra per year" = monthly fee × (60% − 20%) × 12. You can plug your own volume and taker share into the effective fee rate calculator.
One 20x trade: what's the actual difference?
Open a 20x position on 1,000 USDT of margin, for a notional size of 20,000 USDT, with market orders to open and close. Each side costs 20,000 × 0.06% = 12 USDT, so the round trip is 24 USDT, or 2.4% of your margin.
- Typical 20% code: 4.8 USDT comes back and you pay a net 19.2 USDT. You need to make 1.92% on your margin just to cover fees.
- OTTER (60%): 14.4 USDT comes back and you pay a net 9.6 USDT. You break even after 0.96%.
CoinW BTC futures go up to 200x leverage (CoinW futures API). The higher the leverage, the bigger the share of your capital that goes to fees, and the bigger the gap between rebate rates.

Risks to know before using CoinW
- Regulatory warnings: South Korea's financial intelligence unit said in March 2025 that it would sanction CoinW for operating unregistered (Blockhead). The Philippine SEC listed CoinW as an unregistered platform in August 2025 (BitPinas). India's financial intelligence unit issued notices to 25 offshore platforms, CoinW among them, in October 2025 (IBTimes).
- Suspected hack in 2023: In October 2023, security firm Cyvers detected about $13 million in suspicious outflows from CoinW. CoinW later moved to MPC wallets (Coin Bureau). We found no public statement on whether users were compensated.
- Restricted regions: According to CoinMarketCap, these include the US, Canada, North Korea, Singapore and Iran.
- Don't keep large, long-term holdings on an exchange: CoinW is a place for money you're actively trading. Move long-term holdings to a hardware cold wallet (such as Ledger) and keep them offline.
- Futures and high leverage are high risk: CoinW BTC futures go up to 200x. Beginners shouldn't use high leverage; start small and learn the rules first.
