To move crypto from one exchange to another, copy the deposit address on the receiving exchange, paste it into a withdrawal on the sending exchange, and pick the same network on both sides (for example BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) on both). The sending exchange charges the fee: Binance charges 0.01 USDT per USDT withdrawal on BEP20, 1.5 USDT on TRC20 and 0.6 USDT on ERC20, and the receiving side usually charges nothing for deposits. BingX says on-chain withdrawals arrive in about 10 to 120 minutes and deposits usually take a few minutes to a few tens of minutes (Binance fee data and BingX help center, checked 2026-10-24).
Most mistakes happen in three places: the two sides use different networks, a required memo is left out, or withdrawals are on hold because you just changed a security setting or added a whitelist address. Below are the steps, how to pick a network, memos, whitelists and 24-hour holds, and what actually arrives when you send 1,000 USDT from Binance to BingX.
Quick answers
- Match the network on both sides: check which networks the receiving exchange's deposit page lists, then choose the same one on the sending side. ERC20 and BEP20 addresses both start with 0x, so a wrong choice pastes without any error.
- The sender sets the fee: the withdrawal fee is a fixed amount per network set by the sending exchange, whatever the amount you send.
- Get the memo or tag right: deposit pages for networks such as TON or XRP show an address and a memo. Leave the memo out and the deposit may not reach your account.
- Send a test first: the first time you use a new address, send the minimum, wait for it to arrive, then send the rest.
- Don't transfer right after changing settings: after a password, 2FA or whitelist change, most exchanges pause withdrawals for 24 hours or longer.
How to transfer crypto between exchanges
The example below sends USDT from Binance to BingX. Menu names differ on other exchanges, but the order is the same.
Make sure the receiving account can take deposits
BingX's KYC benefits table gives unverified accounts no deposit allowance; Advanced verification is needed to deposit and trade. New Binance users also have to complete Verified status first.Copy the address on the receiving side
on BingX, go to Assets → Deposit, choose USDT, choose the network (for example BEP20), choose the funding or futures account, and copy the address.Choose the same network on the sending side
on Binance, go to Wallet → Withdraw, choose USDT, paste the address and pick BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), the same as the previous step.Add the memo if there is one
if the receiving deposit page shows a memo or tag, enter the same one on the withdrawal page.Send a small test
Binance's BEP20 minimum withdrawal is 5 USDT, so send 5 USDT and check that it lands on BingX.Send the rest and keep the TxID
after passkey or 2FA verification, find the TxID in your withdrawal history and track it on a block explorer (BscScan for BEP20).
Binance's withdrawal page warns that if you pick a network the receiving platform doesn't support and it doesn't refund such deposits, you may lose the funds (Binance deposit and withdrawal fees). BingX's deposit steps are in its guide How to deposit crypto, checked 2026-10-24.
Which network to use: start with the receiver, then compare fees
The table shows Binance's common USDT networks on 2026-10-24: withdrawal fee, minimum withdrawal, deposit confirmations and whether a memo is needed. The last column shows whether BingX's help center names the network.
| Network | Binance withdrawal fee | Binance minimum withdrawal | Binance deposit confirmations (credit / unlock) | Memo needed | Named in BingX help center |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) | 0.01 USDT | 5 USDT | 1 / 1 | No | Yes |
| TRC20 (Tron) | 1.5 USDT | 5 USDT | 1 / 1 | No | Yes |
| ERC20 (Ethereum) | 0.6 USDT | 3 USDT | 6 / 64 | No | Yes |
| Solana | 0.3 USDT | 5 USDT | 1 / 1 | No | Not named |
| Arbitrum One | 0.3 USDT | 3 USDT | 120 / 120 | No | Not named |
| Polygon POS | 0.03 USDT | 3 USDT | 200 / 200 | No | Not named |
| TON | 0.3 USDT | 3 USDT | 1 / 1 | Yes | Not named |

ⓘ BingX does not publish its full list of USDT networks or per-network minimum deposits on public pages; the deposit page after login is the reference. "Not named" only means the help center doesn't mention it, not that BingX doesn't support it.
Pick the network by what the receiver supports first, then take the cheapest of those. Binance's own deposit guide says the same: don't choose the cheapest network, choose the one the other side uses. Per-network withdrawal fees across exchanges are compared in USDT withdrawal fees compared.
Memo or tag: when you must fill it in
On some networks, every user on an exchange shares one deposit address, and the memo (also called tag or comment) tells the exchange whose money it is. Binance's network data shows that USDT on TON needs a memo for withdrawals; coins such as XRP, XLM, EOS and ATOM need one on most exchanges too.
- If the receiving deposit page shows a memo, you must enter it, exactly as shown.
- If the receiving page shows no memo, leave the memo field on the sending side empty.
- Missing or wrong memo: BingX asks you to file a "deposit not credited" request from your deposit history; it takes 7 to 15 working days and the funds may be returned to the sending wallet (official guide).
Whitelists and 24-hour withdrawal holds
A common surprise is a withdrawal that won't go through. Usually a security feature is the cause and the balance is fine. Binance's How to manage withdrawal settings (updated 2025-03-03, checked 2026-10-24) says:
- Withdrawal whitelist: once on, you can only withdraw to whitelisted addresses, up to 200 of them; turning it on or off needs a passkey or 2FA.
- Whitelist withdrawal limit: newly whitelisted addresses can only receive withdrawals after the waiting period you chose.
- Changing or disabling the whitelist: may pause withdrawals for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
After a login password, 2FA, phone or email change, Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and Gate all pause withdrawals for 24 hours, and Binance up to 48 hours in some cases; each exchange's hold times are in account frozen or withdrawal stuck. BingX says it assesses account security on each withdrawal and may need a manual review if it detects unusual risk (How to withdraw crypto).
A day or two before a large transfer, whitelist the receiving address and leave your password and 2FA alone. Each exchange also caps how much you can withdraw per day; see crypto exchange withdrawal limits.
How long a transfer takes
Arrival time has three parts: processing on the sending side (including risk review), on-chain confirmations, and crediting on the receiving side.
- Confirmations: when Binance is the receiver, BEP20, TRC20, Solana and TON deposits are credited after 1 confirmation; ERC20 is credited after 6 and can be withdrawn again after 64; Polygon needs 200 (Binance network data, 2026-10-24).
- BingX: on-chain withdrawals take about 10 to 120 minutes; deposits usually take a few minutes to a few tens of minutes, longer when the network is congested (help center).
- Waiting to send it on: on some networks a credited deposit can only be withdrawn again after the unlock confirmations.
If it's taking longer than expected, look up the TxID on a block explorer. If the chain shows success but nothing was credited, contact the receiving exchange; if there's no on-chain record, contact the sender.
What if you used the wrong network?
The receiving exchange handles recovery, because the funds landed at its address. Rules vary a lot:
| Situation | BingX (receiver) | Binance (receiver) |
|---|---|---|
| Missing or wrong memo | "Deposit not credited" request, 7 to 15 working days | About 7 working days, network withdrawal fee charged |
| Unsupported token on a supported network | 7 to 15 working days, recovery fee set after review | About 30 working days, 20 USDT |
| Deposit on an unsupported network | Generally no recovery; may help at its discretion for major losses, at least 30 working days | Unsupported EVM network: about 30 working days, 20 USDT |
| Sent to an address not owned by that exchange | Cannot help | Cannot help |

Binance's recovery page says processing starts only once it has the full information and the fee, fees are not fixed, and recovery is not guaranteed. A wrong network can cost 20 USDT and more than a month of waiting, or the whole amount.
How to file a recovery request is covered in Binance deposits and withdrawals and BingX deposit and withdrawal guide; restricted accounts are covered in account frozen or withdrawal stuck.
Worked example: sending 1,000 USDT from Binance to BingX
Formula: amount received = amount withdrawn − withdrawal fee. Fees are from Binance's network data on 2026-10-24.
| Method | Fee | Received on BingX |
|---|---|---|
| TRC20, one transfer | 1.5 USDT | 1,000 − 1.5 = 998.5 USDT |
| ERC20, one transfer | 0.6 USDT | 1,000 − 0.6 = 999.4 USDT |
| BEP20, one transfer | 0.01 USDT | 1,000 − 0.01 = 999.99 USDT |
| BEP20, 5 USDT test then 995 USDT | 0.01 × 2 = 0.02 USDT | 4.99 + 994.99 = 999.98 USDT |
The test transfer costs one extra 0.01 USDT and confirms that the address, network and receiving account are right. Compared with sending on TRC20 out of habit, BEP20 with a test transfer still leaves you 1.48 USDT better off, provided you also chose BEP20 on the BingX deposit page.
After the transfer: your fee rebate is set at sign-up
Transfers don't earn a rebate; deposits, withdrawals and internal transfers are not trading fees. What matters over time is the trading fee you pay afterwards, and the rebate depends on the referral code you used when you signed up.
Sign up to BingX with code FEEOTTER and 45% of your trading fees come back, all paid automatically by BingX into your BingX account, with no UID binding; on Binance, code FEEOTTER gives 40% (20% automatic exchange rebate + 20% Fee Otter extra rebate). Both are more than twice the usual 20% code. If you haven't signed up yet, see how to register on BingX and how to register on Binance; rate details are in BingX fee rebate.
Fee Otter's extra rebate is paid out as USDT on BEP20, with a 1 USDT minimum per request and a 0.015 USDT network fee paid by you. You can use an exchange's BEP20 deposit address to receive it, and the same rule applies: the networks must match.
