Pionex vs Bybit Earn 2026: Dual Investment, Arbitrage, Rebates

With code FEEOTTER through Fee Otter: 50% rebate on Pionex, 40% on Bybit. Only Bybit returns Earn interest share (40%). Dual fees, early exit, Arbitrage, savings.

Pionex and Bybit sell different kinds of Earn products. If you want to redeem any time and get back at least the tokens you put in, Bybit's Easy Earn is the fit; for Dual Investment, Pionex charges no fee and lets you exit BTC, ETH and tokenized-stock products early by paying the closing cost. On rebates, only Bybit pays back a share of your Earn interest (40% through Fee Otter), while Pionex gives a 50% trading-fee rebate (15% automatic from the exchange + 35% extra from Fee Otter, invite code FEEOTTER) (checked October 18, 2026).

"I want my USDT and USDC to earn interest. Is Pionex or Bybit better?" The two platforms are not really selling the same thing. Bybit's core product is Easy Earn, a savings product that officially returns at least the number of tokens you put in, plus Dual Asset and on-chain staking. Pionex's current Earn menu centers on Dual Investment and Arbitrage, the flexible product that replaced its old spot-futures arbitrage bot. Pionex also offers flexible savings (Flexible Product: no lock-up, redeem any time, interest credited hourly; Pionex help center: Flexible Product, checked 2026-10-18). So this article does not compare "who pays the higher APR" (both change daily). It compares the rules: where the yield comes from, whether you can exit early, how settlement works, what fees apply, and how each product relates to rebates. Data as of 2026-10-18.

Rebates first, because that is where the two differ most. Earn products charge no trading fees, so neither exchange creates a trading rebate from Earn. But Bybit's affiliate program pays the referrer a share tied to your Earn interest. Bind Bybit through Fee Otter and 40% of that Earn interest share comes back to you, on top of your trading-fee rebate. Pionex's current rebate rules do not list Dual Investment or Earn, so on Pionex the savings come from trading: register on Pionex with code FEEOTTER and you get a 50% rebate on futures and spot (a 15% auto-rebate from Pionex plus a 35% Fee Otter extra rebate), 2.5x the common 20% code.

Quick verdict

  • Want to withdraw any time without the token count shrinking: Bybit Flexible savings. Bybit states you get back at least the tokens you invested, can redeem any time, earn hourly, and pay no extra fees.
  • Want Dual Investment (Buy Low / Sell High): Pionex has two clear rule advantages. It states Dual Investment has no fees and it does not plan to add any, and you can exit BTC, ETH and tokenized-stock products early by paying the closing cost. Bybit Dual Asset is locked after subscription and cannot be cancelled or redeemed before settlement.
  • Want to earn funding fees: Pionex offers Arbitrage (spot plus futures hedge, collecting funding), which has no counterpart in Bybit Easy Earn. Pionex itself says this product should not be described as having almost no risk.
  • Want part of your Earn income back too: only Bybit. The Earn interest share is returned through Fee Otter at 40%.

Flexible savings: Bybit keeps your token count, Pionex runs funding arbitrage

Bybit Easy Earn Flexible

According to Bybit's official Easy Earn FAQ:

  • No lock-up; redeem any time.
  • Hourly yield, credited daily at 00:30 UTC to the Funding Account; the APR floats.
  • Token count protected: the product is "principal-protected in token amount", so you receive at least the number of tokens you invested, though their fiat value moves with the market.
  • No other fees: Bybit says its management fee is already reflected in the APR.
  • Requires at least Standard Individual Identity Verification (KYC).

Bybit's public API shows the Flexible APR is tiered. On 2026-10-18: USDT 6.94% on the first 100 and 1.94% above 100; USDC 5.21% on the first 100 and 2.21% above; minimum subscription 1 USDT or 2 USDC. The headline APR only applies to the first 100 tokens, so a larger balance earns a much lower blended rate, which is the part most people miss when reading promotional numbers. APRs change constantly; check the subscription page.

Pionex Arbitrage

Pionex discontinued its old Spot-Futures Arbitrage Bot on 2024-02-15. Pionex's official explanation says the current Arbitrage product lives under Earn, then Arbitrage, and the old bot's interface and settings should not be applied to it. The idea is to hold spot, short the perpetual, hedge price moves and collect funding:

  • Payout: Pionex says funding-fee earnings are distributed on an 8-hour schedule (official note).
  • Insurance fund: covers negative-funding losses and losses from extreme spot-futures spreads when opening or closing; Pionex tells users to check the product page for the exact deduction and scope.
  • Coins: Pionex's official API documentation lists Term Arbitrage products that accept only USDT or USDC.
  • Remaining risks: funding turning negative, spread changes, execution costs and slippage, maintenance and extreme markets, plus eligibility, allocation, insurance-fund rate and redemption rules that can change.
Pionex's own official risk note is blunt: spot-futures arbitrage "should not be described as having almost no risk". The hedge reduces price exposure, but funding, spreads and product rules still drive the result.

We could not read the current Arbitrage minimum, estimated APR, insurance-fund rate or redemption timing from Pionex's public pages, so this article gives no numbers. Check the product page in the app before subscribing.

Dual Investment: where the rules differ most

Dual Investment (Pionex) and Dual Asset (Bybit) are structured products. You pick a target price and a settlement date; Buy Low is funded with stablecoins, Sell High with crypto. At settlement, depending on whether the settlement price reached the target, you get back stablecoins or the other coin, plus the agreed yield. On both exchanges Dual products can convert you into the other coin and lose fiat value; the only product officially returning at least the tokens invested is Bybit Easy Earn. Do not treat Dual as savings.

Pionex figures come from the official Pionex Dual Investment guide and its public API (Dual product list: 51 underlyings on 2026-09-29, including tokenized stocks such as AAPLX, NVDAX and TSLAX); the minimum and early-exit rules were rechecked on 2026-10-18 in the Pionex help center: Dual Investment. Bybit figures come from Bybit's official Dual Asset guide.

How much does early exit matter?

The classic regret: you set a BTC Buy Low with USDT, the price keeps falling before expiry, you expect to be converted into BTC and want out. On Bybit the assets are locked and cannot be cancelled or redeemed before settlement, so you wait. On Pionex, BTC, ETH and tokenized-stock products have Early Exit: pay the closing cost to the market and take back principal and interest before the official settlement date. Early exit is not free; the closing cost eats into what you get back, possibly below what you expected, but it is an extra option. It matters more for longer terms than for same-day or one-to-two-day products.

Different settlement price sources

Both settle at 16:00 (UTC+8), but the price source differs: Bybit uses its own spot price averaged over the 30 minutes before settlement; Pionex averages the top 6 exchanges from 15:30 to 16:00 (UTC+8). A multi-exchange average is less exposed to a brief wick on one venue, but both are clearly stated official rules. Just know which one you are using.

Working through Bybit's official formula

Bybit's formula when the target is not reached: return = subscription amount × (1 + APR × days ÷ 365). With 1,000 USDT in a 1-day Buy Low and an assumed 36.5% APR: if the target is not reached you get 1,000 × (1 + 36.5% × 1 ÷ 365) = 1,001 USDT; if it is reached, those 1,001 USDT are converted into BTC at the target price. The high APR is the price of possibly being converted, so treat the APR as a reference and decide whether you accept the conversion.

Pionex's Dual guide contains lines such as "often 30% APY or even higher". That is Pionex's own marketing, not a guaranteed return. Dual yields on both platforms change daily with the underlying, target, term and market.

Other products: Bybit On-Chain and Advanced Earn; older Pionex products

  • Bybit: On-Chain Earn stakes crypto for on-chain rewards; Advanced Earn offers structured products that Bybit describes as having higher yield potential and suiting experienced investors comfortable with more risk.
  • Pionex: its official blog still has 2022-2023 posts on Easy Earn, ETH staking and a Bitfinex USDT lending product. We could not confirm from current official pages that these are still offered, so they are left out.

Can you get part of your Earn income back? Rebates vs interest share

Two different things: a trading rebate is based on the trading fees you pay; an Earn interest share is based on your Earn interest. Earn charges no volume-based trading fee, so neither exchange creates a trading rebate from Earn.

  • Bybit: the Bybit affiliate program pays referrers commission on referred users' activity, including Earn. Most referrers keep it; through Fee Otter 40% of the Earn interest share comes back to you, calculated separately from and in addition to trading rebates. Details in Bybit Earn interest share. Note: under Bybit's affiliate FAQ, the affiliate relationship may end if the referred user makes no trade for 180 consecutive days.
  • Pionex: Pionex rebate rules v3 (effective 2025-08-01) cover spot and futures, with arbitrage commission taken from part of the risk reserve, and never mention Dual Investment or Earn. So Dual and Earn income do not generate rebates; Fee Otter passes the Arbitrage commission on to you.

For trading, the rates through Fee Otter (as of 2026-10-18):

Exchange (code)FuturesSpot
Bybit (FEEOTTER)40%40%
Pionex (FEEOTTER)50%50%

Of Pionex's 50%, 15% is paid back by the exchange and 35% by Fee Otter; Bybit has no exchange-paid layer, so Fee Otter pays the full 40%. Full details and worked examples: Pionex fee rebate guide and Bybit fee rebate guide. Rates are set by the exchanges and may change; the rebate rates data page is the reference.

If you are buying USDT or USDC to put into Earn: buying with fiat or through P2P is usually not an order-book trade, so there is no trading fee to rebate. Swapping USDT for USDC on the spot market is a trade, incurs a spot fee, and is rebated once bound. For Bybit deposits and fiat channels see Bybit deposit and withdrawal guide.

Plenty of codes that advertise high rebates come without a single screenshot, and people only find out after signing up that no rebate arrives. Money in exchange Earn carries platform risk. Pionex's terms of service name Marketa Trading Inc. as the operator and state: "We may not be regulated as a financial institution, a money service provider or equivalent in your jurisdiction." We also did not find a Pionex proof-of-reserves page in this check. For licensing status by country, see exchange licences compared. Avoid keeping large long-term holdings entirely in exchange Earn.

Already have an account?

Both the Earn interest share and trading rebates depend on the referral link on your account. On Bybit, within 14 days of registration and with no referrer yet, you can add affiliate ID 163627 (the form accepts numbers only); otherwise see the Bybit rebind guide. For Pionex see the Pionex rebind guide. New accounts should register with code FEEOTTER through the code pages directly: Bybit referral code or Pionex referral code. Then submit your UID on Fee Otter; it is reviewed automatically at 16:00 (UTC+8) the next day, and rebates are settled daily with every entry visible.

Which one fits you?

  • Idle stablecoins you may need any time: Bybit Flexible; note the lower APR above the first 100 tokens.
  • Frequent Dual Investment users who want a way out: Pionex, with no Dual fees and early exit on BTC, ETH and tokenized-stock products (closing cost applies).
  • Want funding income without hedging yourself: Pionex Arbitrage, after checking the insurance-fund rate and redemption rules on the product page.
  • Trade and use Earn, and want part of Earn back: Bybit, with 40% of the Earn interest share through Fee Otter.
  • Mostly running grid or futures bots: on Pionex the trading rebate (50% on futures and spot) is the bigger number; see the Pionex trading bot guide.

FAQ

Does Pionex have USDT flexible savings?

Yes. Per the Pionex help center: Flexible Product (checked 2026-10-18), Earning includes a Flexible Product with no lock-up: you can redeem any time, and interest is credited hourly and compounds automatically. Available coins and the APR are shown in the app. Arbitrage, a separate product, is a funding-rate strategy, not a deposit, and does not guarantee principal.

Is Pionex Dual Investment really fee-free?

Pionex's official guide says there are no fees for Dual Investment and none are planned. Early exit (BTC, ETH and tokenized-stock products only) requires paying the closing cost, which is not a fee but still reduces what you get back.

Can Bybit Dual Asset be redeemed early?

No. Bybit's official guide says subscribed assets are locked and cannot be cancelled or redeemed before the settlement date.

Can I lose principal in Bybit Flexible savings?

Bybit states Easy Earn returns at least the number of tokens you invested, but their fiat value moves with the market and platform risk still applies. Dual Asset and Advanced Earn do not carry this protection.

Does Pionex Earn generate rebates?

Dual and Earn income do not; Pionex's current rebate rules do not list them. Arbitrage does: Fee Otter passes its commission on to you.

Which one pays a higher Earn APR?

There is no fixed answer. Flexible and Dual APRs on both change daily, and Bybit's Flexible APR is tiered. This article compares rules only; check the live product pages before subscribing.
