Pionex Earn has five product types: Savings (flexible, plus 7, 14 and 30-day fixed), Spot-Futures Arbitrage, Dual Investment (including Buy Low and Sell High tools), ETH Staking, and the trial funds handed out in promotions. The main difference is whether you can get your money back at any time. Flexible Savings and arbitrage can be redeemed whenever you like; fixed Savings stay locked to maturity with no early redemption; Dual Investment allows early redemption only on BTC, ETH and stock-token products; and redeeming locked ETH staking early costs 50% of accrued earnings or at least 0.005 ETH (Pionex Help Center, checked 2026-10-17).
This guide follows the official Help Center: where each product's yield comes from, how interest and redemption work, fees and risks, a worked 1,000 USDT Dual Investment order, and how Earn relates to rebates. Earn charges no trading fee, so there is no trading rebate on it; on Pionex the savings come from trading. Register with our code FEEOTTER for a 50% rebate on spot and futures (15% automatic rebate from the exchange + 35% extra rebate), grid bot orders included.

Savings: flexible in and out, fixed locked to maturity
Flexible: in the app go to Wallet → Savings → Flexible; on the web, Earn → Savings. The FAQ says there is no lock-up and you can redeem any time. Interest is calculated hourly and added to principal, and you can withdraw earnings without touching principal. The first payout comes an hour after the "interest start time", not necessarily an hour after you subscribe. The APY on the page is a live, floating estimate; Pionex says it can't disclose the calculation window and advises against using it to back out expected returns. "Sold out" means the quota is full until others redeem.
Fixed: 7, 14 and 30-day terms, with rates adjusted daily to borrowing demand and confirmed at maturity. Fixed products cannot be redeemed or cancelled early during the lock-up. At 10:00 (UTC+8) on maturity they redeem automatically and principal plus interest arrive within 24 hours, unless auto-reinvest rolls them into the next term. Each fixed product has a limited quota, part of which is released daily at 10:00 (UTC+8), first come, first served. The Help Center does not list supported coins. Past announcements show flexible products for coins such as DAI, OM, BSV and BTT that were later wound down (DAI flexible, for example, ended and auto-redeemed on 2026-04-10), so check the page for what's available.
Spot-Futures Arbitrage: funding income, not a deposit
Arbitrage buys spot and shorts an equal perpetual position in the same account, hedging price moves and collecting funding. The old arbitrage bot is now an Earn product, from 10 USDT/USDC, with no lock-up. Products listed by Pionex (figures change with product updates):
| Product | For | APR range | Cap | Auto-rebalance | Capital use | Risk reserve |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| New User Exclusive | New users (no registration-date limit) | 0.01% to 100% | 1,500 USDT | Yes | 90% | 5% |
| VIP Exclusive | VIP | 0.01% to 50% | By VIP level | BTC/ETH/SOL | 90% | 0% (platform pays) |
| Stable | All users | 0.01% to 30% | 100M USDT | BTC/ETH/SOL | 90% | 10% |
| Free | All users | 0.01% to 100% | See product page | No | 90% | 20% |
| Stable (USDC) | All users | 0.01% to 30% | 100M USDC | BTC/ETH | 90% | 10% |
- Interest timing: interest starts at the next funding settlement after you subscribe (00:00, 08:00, 16:00 UTC) and the first payout comes 8 hours later. Subscribe at 07:00 UTC, interest starts at 08:00, first payout at 16:00. For coins on 4-hour funding, interest is still bundled into 8-hour payouts.
- Redemption: no lock-up, but redemption pauses for 15 minutes after each payout.
- Risk reserve: taken from earnings to cover losses from negative funding and spot-futures spreads at entry and exit. The FAQ says you won't lose money when funding is negative, yet the same page says the product now uses multi-assets margin at 90% capital use, leaving a thin buffer, so extreme moves can still produce losing orders and returns are not promised.
Example: put 10,000 USDT in Stable and suppose a month's funding income is 60 USDT; after the 10% reserve you get 54 USDT. The product page doesn't make clear whether its APR is shown before or after the reserve, so check the product details in the app before subscribing. VIP users get a dedicated quota and a monthly rate-boost coupon; see Pionex VIP levels. For the real costs of funding arbitrage, see fee rebates for grid and arbitrage traders.
Dual Investment: the high APR pays you to accept a possible conversion
Pionex calls Dual Investment a non-principal-protected structured product. You pick the asset, target price and settlement date. Subscribing with USDT is "buy low": if the settlement price is below target, you are converted into the coin at the target price. Subscribing with the coin is "sell high": if settlement is above target, you are converted into USDT at the target price. The yield is fixed when you order; only the currency you get back changes.
- Minimum: 10 USDT; each product's actual minimum shows when you subscribe.
- Cut-off: before 15:00 (UTC+8) on settlement day.
- Settlement price: the average settlement index over the last 30 minutes before 16:00 (UTC+8) on settlement day, sourced from major BTC-USD exchanges; proceeds arrive automatically after 16:00.
- Fees: the FAQ says there is no trading fee.
- Early redemption: currently only on BTC, ETH and stock-token products; others wait for settlement.
- APY conversion: APY = yield ÷ (expiry date − today) × 365, with the holding period counted to the millisecond.
Buy Low and Sell High are tools wrapped around Dual Investment: you enter a target price and amount, the system finds matching products, and if it doesn't convert, it rolls over. Pionex quotes APYs from 10% to over 300% depending on target and term. Dual Investment rate-boost coupons apply only to orders you place manually; the system picks the best one automatically and pays the boost at settlement (Dual Investment coupons).
Worked example: 1,000 USDT, buy low BTC, 1 day
Say BTC trades near 81,000 USDT and you put 1,000 USDT into a 1-day "buy low BTC" product with a 76,000 target at 36.5% APY, so the 1-day yield is 36.5% ÷ 365 = 0.1%:
| BTC at settlement | You get | Worth in USDT |
|---|---|---|
| 76,000 or higher | 1,000 × (1 + 0.1%) = 1,001 USDT | 1,001 USDT |
| Falls to 75,000 | 1,001 ÷ 76,000 ≈ 0.013171 BTC | about 988 USDT |
| Falls to 72,000 | the same 0.013171 BTC | about 948 USDT |
If BTC stays above target you earn 1 USDT for the day. If it falls through, you've bought BTC at 76,000, and the lower the market, the bigger the paper loss. The APY is high because you agreed to buy at the target if price gets there, not because your principal is safer. Only commit coins you'd be happy to buy (or sell) at the target.
ETH Staking and trial funds
ETH Staking: per Staking, only ETH is supported, staked through Lido/Curve, and Pionex says no leverage is used. Earnings are paid hourly and can be released without redeeming principal; estimated earnings = staked value × APR × days ÷ 365. Flexible products redeem any time at no charge. Locked products roll into flexible after maturity, redeem free at maturity, and cost 50% of accrued earnings or at least 0.005 ETH (whichever is higher) if redeemed early. With auto-staking on, principal re-stakes at the then-current rate on maturity.
Trial funds ("interest-bearing bonus"): handed out for new-user tasks and promotions, and not withdrawable. They are placed automatically into the arbitrage product reserved for them, usually for 5 to 7 days (7 for new-user tasks, 5 for promotions). At expiry the principal is reclaimed and the earnings go to your main account to use freely (trial funds). If part of your balance suddenly vanishes, it's usually a trial fund expiring, not a deduction.
Earn and rebates
Earn doesn't charge a fee on traded volume, so it creates no trading rebate. Pionex Referral Rules v3 list spot (including leveraged tokens), futures, Spot-Futures Arbitrage and stock-token futures as commission products. Arbitrage commission comes from part of the invitee's risk reserve, and the rules say any product not listed earns no commission by default; Dual Investment, Savings and Staking aren't listed. Fee Otter passes that arbitrage commission on to you as well.
So on Pionex the real saving is on trading. Register with our code FEEOTTER and submit your UID to Fee Otter for a 50% rebate on spot and futures: Pionex pays 15% back afterwards as USDT to your main account, and Fee Otter settles the other 35% daily, withdrawable as USDT (BEP20) from 1 USDT, with the 0.015 USDT network fee paid by you. If you buy USDC just to use Earn, swapping USDT for USDC on the spot market is a spot trade with a 0.05% fee, and that earns a rebate too once you're bound. Forgot the code? See the Pionex rebind guide. Grid scenarios are in the Pionex fee rebate guide, and Pionex vs Bybit Earn rules in Pionex vs Bybit Earn. Users with large balances can contact Fee Otter support; we work with the exchange's official team to request trading perks for you (subject to the exchange's approval).
