Pionex has 11 VIP levels, from Regular to VIP10. Since 4 September 2026 there are four ways to qualify: 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume, today's net assets or 30-day average daily balance. Meet any one and you move up, and the system applies whichever gives the highest level. VIP1 needs 20 BTC of spot volume, 3,000,000 USDT of futures volume or 50,000 USDT in assets. Futures fees fall from 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker to 0.001% / 0.020% at VIP10. Spot is the odd one out: spot taker stays at 0.05% at every VIP level, and VIP only lowers spot maker (Pionex Help Center, "VIP level rule adjustment", checked 2026-10-17).
This guide covers the full fee table, how each of the four routes is counted, which products ignore VIP discounts, the arbitrage quota and rate-boost coupons that come with VIP, and what you actually pay once VIP rates and rebates are combined. VIP and rebates stack: register on Pionex with our code FEEOTTER for a 50% rebate (15% automatic rebate from the exchange + 35% extra rebate), calculated on the fees you actually pay after your VIP discount.
Quick answers
- Four routes, highest wins: spot volume, futures volume, today's net assets, 30-day average balance. Meeting any one is enough.
- Assets alone can qualify: a net asset snapshot of the main, futures and card accounts is taken daily at 00:00 UTC; 50,000 USDT is VIP1.
- Spot taker does not drop: 0.05% at VIP1 through VIP10, while spot maker goes from 0.048% down to 0.010%.
- Fixed-fee products get no discount: stock tokens (spot) 0.1%, leveraged tokens 0.1%, spot innovation zone 0.5%, MEME Guru 1%.
- VIP comes with earn perks: a VIP-only arbitrage quota and one arbitrage rate-boost coupon a month.

Your level and rates are at pionex.com/en/vip-status, or in the app under Home → My Account → VIP (Pionex Trading Fees Overview). To compare VIP thresholds across exchanges, see exchange VIP fee comparison.
How the four routes are counted
- 30-day spot volume, in BTC equivalent: 20 BTC for VIP1.
- 30-day futures volume, in USDT: 3,000,000 for VIP1. Fills from futures grid bots are futures trades on your account.
- Today's net assets (new on 2026-09-04): a snapshot of the main, futures and card accounts at 00:00 UTC each day, converted to USDT.
- 30-day average daily balance: same thresholds as today's net assets.
How to check my trading volume adds three points. Volume is a rolling 30-day figure only, with no lookup by date. Spot and futures are counted separately and never combined, so 15 BTC of spot plus 2,000,000 USDT of futures reaches VIP1 on neither. The figures refresh once a day at 01:30 UTC. You find them on the VIP page under "Progress to VIP X" → "More ways".
We found no written downgrade rule (how often levels are recalculated, or any grace period) in the Help Center. The daily snapshot and 30-day wording suggest your level moves with daily data; the VIP page is the reference.
Products that ignore VIP discounts
| Product | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Stock tokens, spot (e.g. TSLAX, AAPLX) | 0.1% |
| Leveraged tokens | 0.1% |
| Spot innovation zone | 0.5% |
| MEME Guru | 1% |
Separately, the Futures Moon Grid, leveraged grid and borrowing grid charge no trading fee while running and take 20% of total profit as a management fee at close, which has nothing to do with VIP. Stock-token futures are not on the fixed-fee list and pay normal futures rates.
Earn perks that come with VIP
| Level | VIP-only arbitrage quota (USDT) | Monthly arbitrage rate-boost coupon |
|---|---|---|
| VIP1 | 100,000 | ×101% (1 day) |
| VIP3 | 500,000 | ×103% (3 days) |
| VIP5 | 2,000,000 | ×105% (5 days) |
| VIP10 | 75,000,000 | ×110% (10 days) |
According to Spot-Futures Arbitrage, the "VIP Exclusive" product has a 0% risk reserve rate, borne by the platform, against 5% to 20% on the other products. If your VIP status lapses, money already in keeps running, but after you redeem your VIP quota shows 0. Coupons arrive after 10:00 (UTC+8) on the 1st of each month, and the boosted rate is product APR × multiplier, e.g. 8.24% × 101% = 8.32% (arbitrage rate-boost coupons). Full product rules are in our Pionex Earn guide.
Rebates after VIP: what you actually pay
Rebates are calculated on the fees you actually pay. VIP lowers the listed rate first, then the rebate returns 50% of what's left. The two stack. For futures:
| Level | Futures maker | Maker after rebate | Futures taker | Taker after rebate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | 0.020% | 0.010% | 0.050% | 0.025% |
| VIP1 | 0.019% | 0.0095% | 0.048% | 0.024% |
| VIP3 | 0.016% | 0.008% | 0.040% | 0.020% |
| VIP5 | 0.012% | 0.006% | 0.035% | 0.0175% |
Rebate: 50% (15% automatic rebate from the exchange + 35% extra rebate). A real case: you run a few futures grids that trade 3,000,000 USDT a month, which is exactly VIP1. Grids place limit orders and pay maker, so VIP1's 0.019% maker brings monthly fees from 600 to 570 USDT; the 50% rebate returns 285 USDT, leaving 285 USDT net. With a typical 20% code you'd pay 456 USDT net. One VIP level saves 30 USDT a month; the gap in rebate rate is worth 171 USDT a month. At this size, your choice of referral code matters more than your VIP level.
Spot needs a separate look. Maker vs taker says regular-level spot maker and taker are both 0.05%, so it never says which one a spot grid fill counts as. Once VIP makes spot maker and taker differ, the Help Center doesn't say how spot grid fills are classified; check your trade history.
Pionex VIP and rebates: one rule to know first
Pionex Referral Rules v3 (effective 2025-08-01) contain two limits that apply only to "non-KOL inviters": once an invitee reaches VIP2 or above, the inviter no longer receives full commission; and trades made more than 365 days after the invitee registered no longer earn commission. Fee Otter's code FEEOTTER is on KOL terms, so neither limit applies: the rebate rate stays the same after VIP2 and after your first year.
On an account registered with FEEOTTER, the rebate rate stays the same after you reach VIP2 or pass your first year, so upgrading costs you nothing in rebates. Actual payouts follow your Fee Otter settlement records.
Register with our code FEEOTTER: Pionex pays 15% back afterwards as USDT to your main account, and Fee Otter settles the other 35% daily, withdrawable as USDT (BEP20) from 1 USDT, with the 0.015 USDT network fee paid by you. Rebates cover trading fees only, not funding, liquidation fees or Moon Grid-type profit shares. Forgot the code? You can add it within 14 days if you haven't traded, or within 3 days once you've placed an order or started a bot; see the Pionex rebind guide. New accounts: Pionex referral code. If you're already VIP elsewhere or trade large volume, contact Fee Otter support; we work with the exchange's official team to request perks such as a VIP trial (subject to the exchange's approval).
