MEXC Earn covers Flexible Savings, Fixed Savings, On-Chain Earn, Earn Plus and Auto-Earn, plus Futures Earn, which pays interest on funds sitting in your futures account: with futures positions worth at least 100,000 US dollars, the first 25,000 USDT earns up to 20% APR; below that threshold the rate is 3%. Flexible products can be redeemed at any time; fixed products can't be redeemed before maturity, or lose interest if redeemed early. MEXC's service agreement says Earn isn't principal-protected and the published APR isn't guaranteed (checked 2026-10-17).
Using the MEXC Earn Service Agreement, the help center, MEXC Learn articles and announcements, this guide sets out how each product accrues, pays and redeems, then works through what Futures Earn actually pays. APRs on the Earn page move with the market and platform rules, so the figures here reflect the check date only; go by what the page shows when you subscribe. Earn income doesn't generate a rebate; how the two relate is covered further down.
Start with when you'll need the money
| Product | Can you take the money back any time? | Accrual and payout | Main conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flexible Savings | Yes, redeem any time | Per the service agreement, returns accrue from the next 02:00 UTC and you need a full 24 hours for that day's return | KYC required |
| Fixed Savings | Assets frozen until maturity | Locked for the term; early redemption costs part of the pending interest, varying by product | KYC required |
| Futures Earn | Yes, no lock-up | Paid daily to your spot account | Primary KYC; switch it on once |
| Earn Plus | Yes, no lock-up | Press release: interest calculated hourly, settled daily | Deposit USDT or other supported stablecoins |
| On-Chain Earn | Most DApps have a lock period | Depends on each DApp | Assets go to third-party DApps |
| Launchpool | Yes, redeem any time | Calculated and paid hourly to your spot account | KYC required; see each event page |

Flexible and Fixed Savings
Flexible Savings
- Subscribe and redeem: the service agreement says you can subscribe or redeem at any time. Once you submit a redemption, that principal stops earning.
- When it starts: returns accrue from the next 02:00 UTC, and you need a full 24 hours to earn that day's return; redeem before 02:00 UTC and you lose that day's return. That's 10:00 in UTC+8.
- APR: based on the APR published on the platform, which may be tiered by amount and coin. The agreement also notes small differences from rounding or precision.
- Auto-Earn: when switched on, idle balances of the coin you choose in your spot account move into Flexible Savings automatically.
On the check date, the "Est. APR" column for USDT Flexible and Fixed Savings on the Earn page showed no figures, so no flexible rate is listed here. What the page did show was a new-user banner of "up to 600%", which applies to new users only.
Fixed Savings
- Lock: the Learn article says assets stay frozen in the Earn account until redemption and can't be traded or withdrawn.
- Early redemption: the service agreement says you can't redeem before the term ends; the Learn article says early redemption is possible but costs part of the pending interest, depending on the product. The two official documents differ, so follow the page of the product you subscribe to.
- Maturity: principal and returns are credited together, with timing as shown on the website.
Futures Earn: interest on your futures account
From the Futures Earn upgrade announcement of November 19, 2025:
| Coin | Condition | Principal that earns | APR |
|---|---|---|---|
| USDT | Futures position value ≥ 100,000 USD | 0 to 25,000 USDT | 20% |
| USDT | Futures position value < 100,000 USD | Unlimited | 3% |
| USDC | Same as USDT | Same as USDT | 20% / 3% |
| USDE | No position condition | Unlimited | 5% |
- Basis: interest-bearing principal in the futures account plus futures position value; position airdrops, futures bonuses and similar assets don't count toward position value.
- Payout: credited daily to your spot account, with history on the Futures Earn page.
- Funds: the principal still works as futures margin and there is no lock-up; anything transferred out or withdrawn stops earning.
- Eligibility: Primary KYC required; market makers, institutional users and users in restricted regions are excluded.
- Subject to change: the announcement says APR and limits may be adjusted with market conditions and platform rules, and the displayed values apply.
Worked example: what 25,000 USDT earns per day
Say you keep 25,000 USDT in the futures account. Using our own estimate of principal × APR ÷ 365 (MEXC doesn't publish a daily formula):
| Situation | APR | Per day, about | 30 days, about |
|---|---|---|---|
| Futures positions worth ≥ 100,000 USD | 20% | 13.70 USDT | 411 USDT |
| No positions, or under 100,000 USD | 3% | 2.05 USDT | 62 USDT |
The gap comes from the 100,000 USD position threshold. To get 20%, you have to keep more than 100,000 USD of futures positions open, and the price swings, funding and liquidation risk are all yours. Opening positions just to earn the interest can easily lose more than the interest pays. Futures Earn is a bonus only if you already trade futures and already carry positions that size.
Earn Plus, On-Chain Earn and Launchpool
Earn Plus
The service agreement describes Earn Plus as depositing USDT or other supported stablecoins, which MEXC deploys into products such as USDGO or USDC; distributions are added to principal and later payouts use the new principal. MEXC's Earn Plus press release of August 28, 2026 gives rates of up to 11%, hourly interest with daily settlement, no lock-up and no subscription cap, plus a new-user booster event running from 2026-08-27 to 2026-10-24 (UTC).
Note that the press release claims "100% principal protection", while the service agreement says "the Earn Service is not a principal-protected product and users risk principal loss (in whole or in part)". Where they conflict, read the risk through the service agreement, which is the binding document.
On-Chain Earn
Assets go to third-party DApps. The agreement says most DApps have a lock period with no redemption, MEXC doesn't control the DApps, and it takes no responsibility for smart contract risk.
Launchpool
- Formula: daily reward = your daily average stake ÷ all users' total daily average stake × that day's pool; stakes held under one hour earn nothing.
- Payout: calculated within T+1 hour and paid hourly to your spot account; everything is paid within one hour after the event ends; amounts under 0.01 USDT equivalent aren't paid.
- Redemption: any time, straight back to your spot account; stakes are redeemed automatically when the event ends.
- Eligibility: KYC-verified users, excluding market makers, institutions and users in restricted regions; minimum and maximum stakes are on each event page.
An example with made-up numbers: a pool pays 10,000 new tokens a day, all users stake an average of 1,000,000 MX, and you stake an average of 1,000 MX. Your share that day is 10,000 × 1,000 ÷ 1,000,000 = 10 tokens. The MEXC FAQ adds that staked MX can also be used for Kickstarter airdrop events; Kickstarter rules change with each event, so check its announcement.
Service regions
The Earn Service Agreement bars users in "Prohibited Countries", listing North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Mainland China, Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Sevastopol, Canada and certain Ukrainian regions, and says the list may change without notice. The prohibited jurisdictions in MEXC's User Agreement (updated 2026-10-13) also include Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and places under comprehensive sanctions or on FATF's call-for-action list. Futures Earn and Launchpool both exclude users in restricted regions. For licence status by country, see exchange licences compared.
Risks, in MEXC's own words
The MEXC Earn Service Agreement says Earn isn't principal-protected and you can lose all or part of your principal; MEXC doesn't guarantee the published APR, and displayed returns are theoretical estimates; MEXC may use subscribed assets for its own operations, including loans to other clients; users bear their own losses, and MEXC's liability is capped at the service fees it received from you. Money you put into Earn should be money you won't need soon and can afford to lose.
Earn assets stay with the exchange, so if the exchange itself runs into trouble, they're affected too. For how exchanges' proof of reserves compare and what they leave out, see proof of reserves compared; for Earn products side by side, see exchange Earn compared.
Earn income isn't rebated: rebates come from trading fees
Subscribing to or redeeming Earn products carries no trading fee, so it generates no rebate. Rebates cover spot and futures trading fees only, not funding or liquidations. Register with our code mexc-FEEOTTER (keep the mexc- prefix) and the MEXC fee rebate is 60% (20% automatic exchange rebate + 40% extra rebate), spot and futures alike, 3× a common 20% code. MEXC pays the 20% straight into your account; Fee Otter settles the 40% daily and pays it out on request as USDT on BEP20, minimum 1 USDT per request, with the 0.015 USDT network fee paid by you. MEXC's affiliate terms say trades placed through the API don't count toward commission, so trading through the API with your own code or a bot earns no rebate.
Put next to Futures Earn: open a 100,000 USD BTC_USDT position by hand at the 0.02% taker rate shown by MEXC's public API, and opening plus closing costs about 40 USDT in fees, of which the 60% rebate returns about 24 USDT. For how fees and rebates work, see MEXC fee rebate guide; for futures rules, MEXC futures guide; for the code, MEXC referral code.
