- ・KuCoin: spot pairs are split into classes A, B and C, charged 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3% at VIP0 (same for maker and taker); the table shows class A, which covers most major coins. The 20% KCS discount applies to spot and margin only.
- ・KuCoin: the exchange returns 60% automatically (spot and futures alike); Fee Otter adds no extra rebate.
What it is and who it suits
An exchange founded in 2017 with close to a thousand spot pairs and many small-cap coins, spot and futures in one account. Best for people who trade a wide range of smaller coins and also trade futures.
How it differs from the others
Signing up through the dedicated link gets a 60% automatic rebate from KuCoin (spot and futures alike); Fee Otter adds no extra rebate. Paying spot fees in KCS takes another 20% off, which is separate from the rebate.
Common pitfalls
- All new users must complete KYC (including a face check) before using KuCoin, and one person can verify only one account.
- Spot pairs fall into classes A, B and C, charged 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3% at VIP0; check a pair's class before you trade it.
- The whole 60% is returned by KuCoin automatically; Fee Otter adds no extra rebate, so binding your UID earns nothing more.
How existing users rebind
KuCoin's official documentation offers no way to add a referral code after signup. All new users must complete KYC and one person can verify only one account, so if you have already verified a KuCoin account in your own name you cannot open a new one through the dedicated link. Contact support if you have questions.

What you actually get back: three monthly volumes
At the KuCoin futures taker fee of 0.06%, this is the monthly fee, the rebate returned through Fee Otter and the net fee after rebate for 100K, 1M and 10M USDT of futures volume a month.
| Monthly futures volume | Fee | Back via Fee Otter | Net fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100K USDT | 60 | 36 | 24 |
| 1M USDT | 600 | 360 | 240 |
| 10M USDT | 6,000 | 3,600 | 2,400 |
Over a year, 1M USDT of futures volume a month returns about 4,320 USDT.
All volume is priced at the taker rate, excluding platform-token discounts and funding. A higher maker share lowers the fee, and the rebate scales with the fee actually paid.
