BTCC KYC 2026: Levels, Withdrawal Limits and Rejection Fixes

BTCC KYC has two levels: 10,000 USDT a day unverified, 100,000 after ID, 1,000,000 after face check. Fiat caps, review time, rejections, one account per ID.

BTCC identity verification (KYC) has two levels: identity document verification (upload an ID) and then facial verification (a selfie). You can deposit crypto and trade futures without verifying, but withdrawals are capped at 10,000 USDT a day. Identity document verification raises that to 100,000 USDT a day, and facial verification to 1,000,000 USDT a day. Buying USDT by card or bank transfer (fiat deposit) requires KYC: with document verification only, the cumulative cap is 2,000 USDT, and the cap goes away after facial verification. BTCC says review normally takes under 5 minutes, one identity can verify only one account, and users under 18 cannot verify (checked 2026-10-19).

This guide follows BTCC's help center articles on KYC, its Terms of Use and its Privacy Policy (checked 2026-10-19): what each level unlocks, whether you need it, which documents to prepare, how to submit in the app, review times, the rejection reasons BTCC lists, how to fix a misread name, how many accounts one identity can verify, and how BTCC handles your ID and face data. For a side-by-side view of other exchanges, see our exchange KYC comparison; this page covers BTCC only.

(updated 2026-10-15), BTCC: About withdrawal limits and fees, checked 2026-10-19. BTCC says "live trading and market widget are not restricted by users' identity verification levels". The Withdrawal limit shown on the app's withdrawal page is the figure that applies.

VIP level also matters once you have passed facial verification. BTCC's fee page says VIP3 and above get a "24-hour additional withdrawal limit" that applies only to accounts with facial verification completed (KYC2 in BTCC's wording); unverified and document-only accounts do not get it. The extra limit for each VIP level is in BTCC deposits and withdrawals.

Do you need KYC on BTCC?

You can use BTCC without it, with limits. Per BTCC, an unverified account can deposit crypto, trade and withdraw 10,000 USDT a day, but cannot use fiat deposits or join campaigns that pay bonuses or rewards. If you only move crypto in and out in modest amounts, you can skip KYC for now; to buy USDT by card or bank transfer you need at least document verification, and past 2,000 USDT in total you also need facial verification.

A worked example: you hold 25,000 USDT and want to withdraw it all. Unverified, the daily cap is 10,000 USDT, so it takes 3 days (10,000 + 10,000 + 5,000). After document verification the cap is 100,000 USDT and it goes out in one day. BTCC says document review usually takes a few seconds to 5 minutes, so verifying before you withdraw saves time.

Who can verify on BTCC: age and regions

Age: the KYC FAQ says users under 18 cannot complete personal identity verification, and clause 2 of the Terms of Use requires individuals to be at least 18 or of legal age where they live.

Regions: the BTCC Terms of Use (page dated 2022-06-20) are a contract with BTCC Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong. They exclude sanctioned persons, people residing in sanctioned jurisdictions and anyone barred by applicable law, but they do not publish a specific list of prohibited countries. The issuing countries you can pick are whatever the KYC page shows. A few places readers ask about:

  • United States: the KYC guide notes that "fiat withdrawal is currently not supported for U.S. users".
  • Hong Kong: although the contracting company is incorporated there, BTCC is not on the Hong Kong SFC's list of licensed virtual asset trading platforms (SFC list, updated 2026-10-16).
  • Mainland China: BTCC's predecessor, BTC China, announced in September 2017 that it would stop trading in China (Fortune), and BTCC was bought by a Hong Kong blockchain investment fund in 2018 (Caixin). BTCC's copy trading FAQ lists Mainland China among the regions where copy trading is unavailable (copy trading FAQ, updated 2026-10-15). Check local rules if you are in Mainland China.

Licensing by country is covered in exchange licences compared, and BTCC's company and regulatory background in our BTCC review.

Before you submit: documents and selfie rules

BTCC accepts an ID card, driver's licence, passport or residence permit; which ones you can choose depends on the issuing country you select (KYC FAQ). BTCC's requirements:

  • Valid document: not expired.
  • Clear photo: every detail readable, not cropped, blurry or reflective.
  • A real selfie: look straight at the camera, face inside the frame, good light; no photo of a photo, no hat or glasses, no filters.
  • Same person: the person in the selfie must match the ID you uploaded.

How to complete KYC in the BTCC app

Step 1: identity document verification

  1. Log in to the BTCC app, tap the icon at the top left of the Home page to open Account Settings, then Identity Verification → Start verification.
  2. Tap Continue, choose the document issuing country and document type, take a photo of the document and upload it. The Traditional Chinese guide adds a risk assessment quiz before this step; the English guide does not, so follow what your screen shows.
  3. The status shows "Verifying ID". When it changes to "Facial verification not completed", the first level is done.

Step 2: facial verification

  1. Open Identity Verification again, scroll to Facial Verification at the bottom and tap Unverified.
  2. Tap Continue and take a selfie with your face inside the frame, following the instructions.
  3. When the status reads "Verified", both levels are complete.

Steps are from BTCC's KYC guide. On BTCC you must pass identity document verification before you can start facial verification; you cannot skip a level. The official guides only describe the app; there is no separate web walkthrough.

On 2026-08-14 BTCC posted a notice that the regular verification page might appear grey or stay stuck loading, so it added a temporary verification entry in the app; the notice's link points to the domain app.btcuserapp.com (Identity verification entry notice). Open links like this from inside the app or from the official notice, never from a link someone sends you.

How long does review take?

BTCC gives two versions: the KYC guide says document and facial checks "usually just take several seconds", and the KYC FAQ (updated 2026-10-15) says review is normally done "within 5 minutes". You get the result as an in-app notification; if more than 5 minutes pass, contact Live Chat.

Sources: Q4 of BTCC's KYC guide and the KYC FAQ. Read the reason in the in-app notification, fix it, then resubmit. "Duplicate Registration / Duplicate Verification" means your identity is already verified on BTCC. BTCC does not publish a daily limit on resubmissions.

Your name was misread: how to fix it

Document scanning sometimes gets a name wrong. In the app, go to Account Settings → Identity Verification, tap the edit icon next to your name under Personal Information, enter the name exactly as it appears on your ID and submit (How to correct my name). Each user can correct their name only once, and BTCC warns that random changes affect your rights on the platform, so check it against your ID before you submit.

How many BTCC accounts can one identity verify?

One. The KYC FAQ says each user may complete personal identity verification for only one BTCC account, and the identity information cannot be transferred to another account once verified. The Terms of Use also list opening multiple accounts to get around controls as a reason to suspend accounts. Decide which email or phone number you will use before you verify; if you want a new account later, the same identity cannot be verified again.

How your ID and face data are handled

According to the BTCC Privacy Policy:

  • What is collected: for AML and KYC, BTCC may collect identity documents, proof of address and declarations of source of funds and source of wealth; if you log in or use services with face or fingerprint recognition, it processes the matching biometric data.
  • Retention: BTCC is entitled, but not obliged, to keep your personal information while the account exists and for 5 years after it is closed.
  • Cross-border transfer: BTCC may transfer and store data outside your country of nationality or residence without further consent.
  • Sharing: the policy says BTCC may share personal information with marketing partners for targeting and analysis, and may share identity and transaction information with your referrer for rebate or other benefit programmes.
  • AML screening: BTCC's Trust Center says automated AML screening runs through Sumsub and other partners (BTCC Trust Center).

Account safety

Upload your ID and selfie only on the Identity Verification page of the official BTCC app. Ignore anyone who asks you to send ID photos or selfies over Telegram, LINE or another website to "handle verification for you". Never verify with someone else's identity, and never lend your verified account to anyone.

You can check whether a social media account, email address or URL claiming to be BTCC is official with BTCC Verify, linked in the website footer (BTCC Verify). After verifying, turn on Google Authenticator and withdrawal verification. Changing your login password, fund password, phone number or email pauses withdrawals for 24 hours; details in BTCC deposits and withdrawals.

How long does BTCC KYC take?

BTCC says a few seconds to 5 minutes, with the result sent as an in-app notification. If it takes longer than 5 minutes, contact Live Chat.
