What it is and who it suits

One of the oldest exchanges still running: it started as BTC China in 2011. Today it is mainly a USDT perpetual futures exchange, with spot, copy trading, demo trading and TradFi contracts on gold, forex and tokenized stocks. Best for people who mostly trade futures.

How it differs from the others

Sign up with Fee Otter's referral code and BTCC refunds 60% of your futures fees automatically. Fee Otter adds nothing on top, so there is no UID to bind. A VIP0 futures taker fee of 0.055% works out to about 0.022% after the rebate; the 0.03% maker fee is higher than at most exchanges.

Common pitfalls

  • Spot trades get no rebate, and the fee page lists spot at 0.2% maker and 0.3% taker at every level. Check the estimated fee in the order form before you trade.
  • Holding 200 USDT in the account makes you VIP1, which cuts futures fees to 0.025% maker and 0.05% taker.
  • A liquidated position pays a separate 1% to 1.2% liquidation fee into the insurance fund.

How existing users rebind

BTCC publishes no way to add a referral code after signup or to change your referrer. Its KYC FAQ says each person can verify only one account and verified identity data cannot move to another account; after deletion, the old phone number and email cannot register again. There is no published way to switch an existing BTCC account. Ask BTCC live chat if you want to try, and never open an account with someone else's identity.

What you actually get back: three monthly volumes

At the BTCC futures taker fee of 0.055%, this is the monthly fee, the rebate returned through Fee Otter and the net fee after rebate for 100K, 1M and 10M USDT of futures volume a month.

What you actually get back: three monthly volumes
Monthly futures volumeFeeBack via Fee OtterNet fee
100K USDT 55 33 22
1M USDT 550 330 220
10M USDT 5,500 3,300 2,200

Over a year, 1M USDT of futures volume a month returns about 3,960 USDT.

All volume is priced at the taker rate, excluding platform-token discounts and funding. A higher maker share lowers the fee, and the rebate scales with the fee actually paid.
