Signing up for LBank takes five steps. Click "Sign Up" at the top right of the official site, lbank.com. Choose email, phone or a third-party account (Apple, Google, Telegram, MetaMask or Phantom) and set a login password. Pass the security check and enter the verification code, then complete KYC. The user agreement says you must verify your identity before any trading. Automated review usually takes 5 to 30 minutes, and manual review 1 to 3 business days. More than 30 places, including the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, can't register, and qq.com or 163.com email addresses may be refused (checked against LBank's help centre on 19 October 2026).
This guide is based on LBank's help-centre articles on registration, third-party sign-up, email problems and KYC, plus its user agreement. It covers who can register, what to prepare, web versus app, how long it takes and how to fix the most common errors. For background on the exchange itself, see the LBank review.
Who can register on LBank? Regions, age and accounts
- Restricted regions: the user agreement (updated 2026-09-23) lists more than 30 places it won't accept, including the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Egypt, Bangladesh and Uruguay. The KYC FAQ adds Venezuela, India and Palau, and the SMS restrictions notice says service is also unavailable in +7 regions such as Russia and Kazakhstan, Ukraine and the UAE.
- Age: the agreement requires full civil capacity and doesn't state an age.
- Number of accounts: the agreement bans registering multiple accounts in bad faith, for example to farm rewards. One email address (including variants with dots or plus signs) can hold only one account, and KYC is rejected if the same ID document is already verified on another LBank account.
- The lists change: the KYC FAQ says its list is updated over time and LBank's latest legal notices apply.
Sources: LBank User Service Agreement, KYC FAQ (updated 2026-07-24), SMS service restrictions notice (2026-04-10), checked 2026-10-19.
The three lists don't fully match; if any one of them names where you live, don't register. Even if sign-up goes through, accounts from listed places can be restricted later at KYC or during use.
What to prepare before you sign up
- A mainstream email or a phone that can receive SMS: LBank suggests Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo; qq.com and 163.com addresses may not be accepted. If your country code is on the SMS restriction list, you can't register by phone.
- Make sure you're on the real site: LBank has warned about phishing sites such as lbnkex.com and lbankex.com. If you're unsure, check the address on the official verification page.
- A passport, national ID or driving licence issued by a supported country, for KYC.
- Paper and a pen: the KYC selfie needs a handwritten note reading "LBank + today's date (YYYY-MM-DD)".
- A stable connection: LBank recommends stable Wi-Fi so uploads don't break off.
How to register on LBank (web)
Step 1: open the official site and click "Sign Up"
Type https://www.lbank.com/ yourself and click the yellow "Sign Up" button at the top right. You can also enter your email on the homepage to go straight to registration.
Step 2: choose email, phone or a third-party account
Email: enter your address and set a login password. Phone: pick your country or region code, enter your number and set a password. Third-party: click Apple, Google or Telegram to authorise, or MetaMask or Phantom to connect a wallet, then choose "Register a new LBank account".
Step 3: pass the security check
Follow the on-screen prompts. LBank's registration guide doesn't say what form the check takes.
Step 4: enter the verification code
A code goes to your email or phone. Enter it and you're registered and logged in. If the email or number is already in use, you'll be asked to use another.
Step 5: complete KYC and set up two-factor authentication
Go to "Account Security → Identity Verification", pick your country and document type, upload the document and complete face recognition and liveness detection. Then link Google Authenticator and set an anti-phishing code. KYC details are in LBank KYC verification.

App or web: what's different?
| Item | Web | App |
|---|---|---|
| Entry point | "Sign Up" at the top right of the site | "Sign Up / Log In" on the home screen |
| Email and phone sign-up | Yes | Yes |
| Third-party accounts | Apple, Google, Telegram, MetaMask, Phantom | Apple, Google, Telegram |
| Security check and code | As prompted | Security check first, then the code sent to your email or phone |
| Download | Not needed | Use the download link on the official homepage, never an installer from elsewhere |
Based on LBank's web, app and third-party registration guides, checked 2026-10-19; button names can change between versions. After signing up with a third-party account, LBank recommends binding a phone number and turning on two-factor authentication.
How long do registration and KYC take?
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Registration | No time given; done once you've filled in details, passed the check and entered the code |
| KYC, automated review | Usually 5 to 30 minutes |
| KYC, manual review | 1 to 3 business days for complex cases |
| After a password reset | Withdrawals paused for 24 hours |
Sources: KYC FAQ and the email registration guide, checked 2026-10-19. Track progress under "Profile → Security → Identity Verification". A password reset pauses withdrawals for 24 hours, so keep your password safe from the start.
LBank KYC: what you'll need
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Document | Passport, national ID or driving licence issued by a supported country |
| Selfie | Front-facing headshot holding a handwritten note: "LBank + YYYY-MM-DD" |
| Photo quality | Colour, sharp, unobstructed, all four corners visible; no scans, screenshots, photocopies or edited images |
Source: KYC FAQ. The FAQ says it "applies only to regions/accounts required to complete KYC: without verification, deposits, trading, and withdrawals will be unavailable", while the user agreement asks every user to verify before trading. The two documents word it differently, so do KYC right after registering to avoid getting stuck on deposits or withdrawals.
LBank: take the KYC selfie with your phone's native camera, with no beauty filters or effects, and include a handwritten note reading "LBank + YYYY-MM-DD". The document photo must be an original colour image of the physical document; scans, black-and-white copies and edited images are rejected. (LBank KYC FAQ)
No verification code, or your email won't register?
| What you see | Usual cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Email already exists" | LBank strips dots and "+" suffixes from the username and normalises case and domain before checking | Log in with the normalised address shown; use "Forgot Password" if needed |
| Email format rejected | Spaces, underscores, hyphens, # or $ in the username, or a username outside 6 to 30 characters | Use a standard address at a mainstream provider |
| qq.com or 163.com won't register | LBank says such domains may be unsupported for policy or security reasons | Use Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or similar |
| No SMS, can't register by phone | Your country code is on the SMS restriction list (for example Vietnam, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Nigeria) | Register with email instead |
| No email code | Filtered into spam or promotions | Check spam and promotions; if it's not there, contact support |
| Your country isn't in the KYC list | It's on the unsupported list | LBank can't serve you |
| KYC rejected: "document already used" | The same document is verified on another LBank account | Use another valid document (passport or driving licence) |

First thing after signing up: lock the account down
- Google Authenticator: see the help centre's Google Authenticator setup guide.
- Anti-phishing code: set it in security settings; genuine LBank emails carry the code, which helps you spot fakes.
- Bind a phone: recommended if you signed up with a third-party account.
- Watch for alerts: an email about a device or IP change you didn't make may mean the account is compromised; change your password and contact support right away.

Notes for users in the US, Asia and Indonesia
United States: the user agreement says LBank offers no personal accounts to US residents and no corporate accounts to US entities.
Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau: all restricted, and +86 and +852 numbers are among the codes LBank can't serve.
Indonesia: not on LBank's lists, but OJK's Satgas PASTI put LBK Blockchain Co Limited (lbank) on its June 2026 list of entities submitted for blocking (OJK release). Other regulator notices about LBank are in the LBank review.
Risks
LBank's website lists no financial licence, and regulators in Japan, Ontario, the Philippines and Indonesia have said it operated without registration; check the rules where you live before signing up, and only deposit what you can afford to lose. Never hand your login, password, verification codes or ID photos to anyone claiming to be support or offering to do your KYC for you.
FAQ
Do I need KYC to register on LBank?
Not to register, but the user agreement requires identity verification before trading, and the KYC FAQ says that where KYC applies, you can't deposit, trade or withdraw without it.
Can I register on LBank with a phone number?
Yes, unless your country code is on the SMS restriction list; those numbers can't be used to register, recover a password or bind a phone. Use email instead.
Why won't my email register?
Usually because the same address (including dot or plus variants) is already registered, it contains special characters, or it's on an unsupported domain such as qq.com or 163.com.
How long does LBank KYC take?
Automated review usually takes 5 to 30 minutes; complex cases go to manual review, 1 to 3 business days.
Can US residents use LBank?
No. The user agreement excludes US residents and US-based companies.
Why can't I withdraw after resetting my password?
LBank pauses withdrawals for 24 hours after a password reset as a security measure.
